- So I was thinking about the sheer weight of the history Oscar has inherited. And how I am dying to see how that conversation is going to play out in Volume 8.

Then this idea came to me while watching some animatics and I spent a good chunk of the next day finding the right Ozpin scenes and doing some editing. Tumblr really liked the preview I shared there (asingleaceinth...) which then led me to get 70% of the way done and then ignore it for a week.
I'm still not 100% satisfied with this, but I've been masking so much lately that it's, like, starting to hurt? I just needed this to be done.

Dang, I never realized how well this song fits them, especially the "you have no control who tells your story" line since Jinn was the one to reveal everything about Ozpin instead of himself. Great AMV!
two seconds in i started sobbing. gosh this hurts so much because it FITS SO WELL!! the TRANSITIONS?? WHEN YOU MADE IT LOOK LIKE OSCAR WAS LOOKING UP AT OZPIN I LOST IT.

Ozpin was so under used. There are no words for how bad I wanted to keep him around a little longer, at least long enough to see him really fight.
The greatest fight in the series was thirty seconds long. Shameful.
This was UNREAL, OMG!!!! The masking, the colors, the transitions (0:47), the parallels (0:50)??? Cinematic perfection. This was so remarkable, I am absolutely blown away :O

Those edits were amazing, especially love the glowing Oscar and Ozpin facing each other going to the war and then the transition from the King to Ozpin!
I'm glad you liked it! It was one of my lesser favorite transitions in the whole, but people seem to be really vibing with it! I'm glad people are enjoying it.
Ozpin talked about silver eyes to Ruby, but his past self (headmaster of beacon) had silver eyes too.
This was fantastic! The scenes really match up with the lyrics and the transitions were really smooth!
Thank you! I had such a hard time with "I believe we can win" since that doesn't quite line up with how Ozpin doesn't really have a solid plan for how to defeat Salem. But I managed it: : )
