Use the Ground Theme For a Water Theme, Because it's base is water, Works good without Much Ground and water paths. Edit: Snow Also Works For A Water World
Extra tip - levels with enemy icons will automatically force a player in a world, so you could make them like world enemy encounters! (Like making a level where you have to kill multiple hammer bros and have a hammer bro as the icon)
Thank you for making this video! Some of these I already knew, like spacing your courses apart and not making your world too cluttered with decorations, but for others, I felt like I really needed those tips-for example, Toad Houses and the ability to put them behind optional courses. Either way, there are more people out there who definitely need to see this video too! I’m so glad you made it! Side note: that fake-out fort in the Space world is a really clever idea, hiding the final course behind what looks like an optional path.
Thanks for watching! I’m glad some of these tips helped you out! And the only reason I put the final level behind a mushroom house in the space world was just to be annoying lol 😂
You're the only person I could find that does that trick where you can take a path with water and not attach it to anything to create a water tile. I don't know why people never use it. It's very helpful. Defiantly helps me.
Tip: It’s best to use 3 road houses, if all courses are really hard in a world, or it’s just one course that’s supposed to be like the final levels in traditional Mario games
On one of my accounts I have a final special world that has like 2 optional and 2 mandatory Levels. The optional levels lead to Toad Houses and one of the optional levels is a coin level, that requires a minimum amount of coins to beat it, so it is challenging enough for the special world. In that world you start with 1 Live so you can use the optional levels and toad houses to get more lives. Btw, this one live mechanic only works because this World has an own Super World and is 1 out of 4 total Super Worlds used for my game.
What I wanna do, in each world I prefer to (instead of using toad houses) make a challenge level, which leads you to a bonus level as a reward. I also wanna make each castle unique, with a custom boss in each, like the first world having king goomba, then for desert a mega pokey, then more unique boss fights for each world.
I’m a little late, but I did this thing with one of my worlds, where I tried to make a beach world by using the desert theme and having the are filled with water and little islands.
Can i inspire your (1-1) Idea? I mean, for the bonuses ill change the A for a B (1-B) and the Castle For C (1-C) Also can i make my world similar to yours?
Tip:You can make a underwater world by not using any ground tiles in ground or snow and you can make a beach theme by using the lake decoration in the desert theme
I think if more people play more Mario maker 2 Mario maker 3 might happen when Mario maker 1 was almost dead people stilled played it and then Nintendo probably saw that people still care about Mario maker and that’s probably why they make Mario maker 2 to get more sales

Can get very inspirational! I haven't made a Mario game and it gets very exciting from there.
I’m currently working on my super world. 1 ground larry, 2 underground Morton, 3 desert Wendy, 4 snow Lemmy, 5 Forest Iggy, 6 lava Roy, 7 Ludwig sky, 8 bowser Space.
Cool! Sounds really fun!
Carrot Peeler thanks!

Honestly I agree that it is underused in Super Worlds, it is basically like a fourth decoration type tile!
I used it to make rivers in the Forest world, although I still haven't finished the Super World, to I may change it.
@@CarrotPeeler I used it in my forest world

split paths are also great for traditional worlds as they give the layouts less linearity and variety depending on each jndivudual players playstyle
Absolutely! The New Super Mario Bros. Games all use split paths in their worlds! It also helps the worlds feel more natural!

That sounds like a great idea! How well do you think the world map came out for that world?
Well.. I just had a bunch of bridges connecting to little islands. Honestly it could vary, but for me i did an S shape

I love the world maker with all my heart. Just wish they had up to 10 worlds with 7 levels each, tho
10 Levels Each. Maybe Even 12
and add secret exits so warp zones are possible
Can I copy your level cus your level is good and beautiful pls?
Rule 4, since the superworlds have so little themes ignoring this rule is totally fine.
I Have A Toad House That's Locked Behind An Optional Tower/Fortress.
That’s awesome! Adds an additional incentive to beat that level!

It feels odd...
I like it, it reminds me of SMB2

Hpw do you make a final level appear? I have seen other people do it
It has to be in the water or lava. You hold down on the ground tile and there will be an option for it to be transparente

It really doesn’t have a purpose, I thought it would be neat to have the player go through there and be stuck in between two bowser statues!
