- well, doing these vocal things shows me just how much I suck. This is deceptively hard (this tune). I tried to massage it (the tune) and improve it in the mix and I resang some and I just don't sound good on this. oh well. I thought I wouldn't upload but I threw it into the vid of me singing it then added some effects and blah blah. On the the next one.

He's definitely good. I have great range, tone and pitch, but he sings some songs I just don't have the proper tone for. He's older than me though, and he's probably been singing much longer than I have, so he has one up on me. 😂

I've wondered if he's famous myself, honestly. Haha! He is extremely talented. I can sing some of the greatest love and rock songs out there, but this guy is certainly more talented than me. If you're not a singer, then you probably don't understand that getting proper pitch, tone, breath, and harmony-all together at once-is hard. And if you're not born with a natural ability to hit a high C, or a sharp B like I was, then it can take years to learn how to sing. But he is just really, really good. I can't stop watching him either. For real. Lol

As a life long Phil fan, I just want to say that you can't be him. BUT........straight up........the last minute of the song when you improvised and matched his vocal pitch..........AWESOME!!! I truly loved listening and even called my wife into the room the fourth or fifth time I listened just for a second opinion. It's almost like listening to Face Value live somewhere. Good job!!!!!
thx. Yeah, I was having a little trouble singing it well with restraint in the verses and really the chorus. It's a hard song to sing well, I think. I did better on that high stuff at the end tho. I prob should have let loose with a really badass ad lib tho. hahah I usually try to copy songs closely but sometimes I throw in something extra.
