Thank you for the info. My little one will take treats out of my hand now but it’s gone as soon as it gets it. Baby steps but still going in the right direction. Thank you again
ps.. continued : if you were breeding them(and your male hormones are not exactly where they should be) what is your stance on hormone therapy? to help your male for his potential issues? or are you ok with combat with another male iguanas to heighten his hormones during breeding season? let me know what is your responses are 😅
I don’t have any experience with any of that stuff. If a male isn’t breeding it’s most likely not breeding season, or there’s just something not right with the setup
afternoon my friend and thanks for the educational update.. but i have a few questions: i know iguanas need protein and they can be very *opitunistic at times* even a herbivore: that being said when it comes to getting adequate protein, do you feed them mealworms, crickets or some scrambled eggs from time time? if so, how often? and do yours like eating berries or banana's?
I never really feed any protein. Maybe once a year at most. That being said, feeding some bugs every now and again is perfectly fine (Dubia roaches or super worms would be my choice)
From a healthy breeding facility or "recommendation online" with a 3 star or higher." But make sure they health test the animal first before you buy and ask if they have a return policy too
