Crazy how the Ariete AMV has the same BR of 11.7 as this despite being worse in EVERY way.....
I love this tank, it carried me through the whole 292 event and the only thing I didn't liked about the 2a7v is that the rest of the lineup wasn't as good as that 2a7
The only problem when playing 11.7 it's a super CAS BR
Exept if you have pantsir on your team
And will only get worse
@@Lillspratt Not entirely true now. I am an above average skill AAA player and with my pantsir I have problems making the engagement now at 11.7. The CAS just dives to the deck and pops chaff and lays a bomb on you. Or you get smacked by an SU-39 shooting a 30km range ATGM at you.

I don't know chief, the fact that sweden gets basically 3 of these things with little downsides... I think they are completely under the radar for how broken they are right now
yup, all three with spall liners and additional hull armour of the 2a7 not to mention additional backups going up to 6 spawns in these terminators and the gripen says a lot about balancing, though thank the snail nobody plays sweden
I really dont think they're flying under the radar, most people are aware of how good the Strv 122s are, like weren't people complaining about how sweden had the best leopards for the longest time?
only good if youre fighting people who are morons leopards all got the same weakspots
@@Den-ve1un every tank in the game has easier weakspots. The 2a7 and strv122s are by far the best when it comes to survivability having the smallest weak spots.

No surprise. Leo 2 A4 was my first high Prem and opened my eyes for the bracket. It just lets you do everything you want. Fix thermals and up armor and gun a bit to meet the opposite and it will just keep beasting
It has the L55A1 wich should give it slightly more pen than a 2a6 with DM53 but the difference would be minimal, if they want to increase the firepower they can give it either Dm53A1/DM63 or even DM73 the jump from DM53 to Dm53A! would be a slight bump in pen, DM63 would be essentialy DM53A1 but is has a special propellant wich means hitting the round would not result in it cooking off and DM73 would be a Massive jump in Pen and have the same proppellant as DM63. It also only has one MG3A1 and one MG3, it does not have ESS and it does not have GEN 2 thermals but GEN3 for both the gunner and the commander and gen1s for the driver. The mobilty is also incorect as of currently it had recieved changes to its transmission wich slightly reduced top speed by 2-3kph but gave it the acceleration of a 2a6 even though it weighs more. Also like most Modern MBTs it should have a automatic fire supression system. This is not me complaining just pointing out that it could become even better if Gajin decides to fix those things
Crazy to think that the in-game version of the Leo 2A7V is already pretty nerfed compared to its real life version when it comes to mobility and ammunition.

The 2A7V is easily an S tier tank.
Depending on your playstyle the strv 122b+ might look more desirable specifically for cqb.
However on those ranged maps the 2A7V is perhaps second to none.
I feel like it offsets Germany's weaker spaa and CAS capability.
Def not an offset regarding that its only ONE tank. How does that make up for a complete lack of aviation and spaa.
@@adhx7506I feel like even Panstir is overshadowed by CAS. Really Competent players can make it work of course but SPAA is kinda fcked in WT especially at mid and top tiers.
@@MareWT Problem with the Pantsir is that only Russia gets an AA that good. Everyone else doesnt.
Germany does have the best CAS. It’s called the EuroTiger with radar missiles. Sling those at pansir from behind trees or hills and it’s good AA lmao

Spading the Leopard2A7 was so much more easier for some reason.. I struggled to spade the 2A6 very badly I spaded the 2A7 in a day and a half
The first few weeks fighting this thing were literally hell.
Had to swap out from my Russia and Israel onto Japan because the 4s reload made followups a lot more consistent.
Meanwhile my winrate in the M1A2 SEP is 35% lol
Just imagine how good the Leopard 2A8 will be with its APS

Leopard hulls have been slightly nerfed in terms of not creating spalling.
I just now have the 2A4 researched, so I'll be in this thing by the end of year lol.
I researched the 2A4 3 days ago and am already in the Leo 2 PSO with 40k. I think in two weeks I'll have the complete 11.7 deck from the Germans

Three rounds a day really isn't much. I understand that the game is a lot for people with children and little time. However, I know games that take a lot more time for less progress, e.g. Clash of Clans, Escape from Tarkov. To be honest, I imagined the grind in Warthunder to be worse based on stories from gaming friends. Been playing the game again for 1.5 months and started again in Br3.7 with the Germans and am now with Leopard 2 PSO. I play ~2-3 hours per day with a premium account.So yes, we are making progress and at least it won't be taken away from you like in Escape from Tarkov.
@Godlikz I came off of playing Runescape and osrs for the last 20 years lol. So War Thunder isn't that grindy. Every other weekend I can usually get in 18 hours or so. I barely got the 292 by the skin of my teeth. I still had to GE two of the objectives. Not being able to smash out the events is the only draw back to not being able to play a ton.
I dislike how enormous modern western tanks have become. Leo2a4 was already large. This looks like a fortress
well extra armour and blow out panels tend to have that effect, also i quiet like the stv's and the a7 i love gow the turrets look whit the blo out panels ect
Russian tanks are much smaller but have awful depression and have terrible survivability

First time Germany gets something good since the 2a6 and it’s already perceived as way stronger. It’s funny sweden isn’t seen as strong as Germany considering they have more copies of the same tanks

@@Skinny6539 obviously, but the bmp2m is at the same br and has very good missiles, so the puma is on 10.0 for mid armor? The bmp has the same capabilities with flanking and sidepenning mbts + very good missiles but less armor? I would trade all era and composite screens for some comparable missiles.
@@Skinny6539 how I said I played both, the bmp and puma aren't even close to be equal. I have never said that the puma is bad, but if you should face am mbt frontally you have much better chances with a significantly higher fire rate and atgms. Have you even played both?

My lineup consists of the 2A7V, 2A6, 2A5 PSO, Puma, & The Tiger UHT.
And I’ve essentially become god of the battlefield.
And I also just wanna say the UHT makes up for any cas element they are lacking, that thing is fucking busted, the fact I can go up and fire and forget up to 8 highly damaging missiles, get 4-5 kills and land and redo it is insane.
And the Pars are nothing like the spikes. They actually work.
But the pain to get the tiger UHT

Nope the second heli has better HOT missiles, I believe you gain 200mm of pen, but I agree that they should be folded even though the German heli TT is small

it's not good in anyway: It can't pen Relikt, it doesn't have a fast topspeed, slow horizontal speed, no DM53A1 or DM63, DM63A1, DM73, no front hull armor as much as it is IRL and used to be ingame before nerf
It absolutely can pen relikt, it has the best damn round in the game
It IS fast, it has fast turret traverse and is damn near impossible to ohk from the front.
German mains find a way to complain when they get the most busted tank in the game

DM63 is literally just a modification of DM53 to make it more consistent in inclement weather lol you don’t know what you’re asking for

The Leopard 2A7 isn't fast with only 61KPH whereas the Leopard 2A6 has 68KPH which is still lower than the other MBTs except challengers and T-90/T-72's

It can pen relikt ofc it can but i meant it can't pen the armor of the T-90 and T-80 with Relikt on them. Currently now T-90M and T-80BVM, you can't pen them lol
maybe from 2m distance where you aim down on it but not from some distance where the lvl is basicly the same

the Leopard 2A6 Can't pen the ERA'd part of the T-80BVM whereas the T-80BVM can pen the Leopard 2A6 everywhere on the hull
DM53 out of L/55 can't pen T-80BVM with 652mm pen pointblank
but 3BM60 with used ot be 560mm pen, now 580mm pen i believe can pen the Leopard 2A4, 2PL, 2A5, 2PSO, 2A6 and 2A7 where the extra mounted armor isn't
@@silos4783 no, not at all, now especially after the nerf the obj 292 can easly pen the 2A7's hull and sure DM73 would be on easy mode but they could atleast give the Leopard 2A7 with the L/55A1 barrel the DM53A1 and/or DM63 for now
Germans should fully embrace the pure Ground dominance they have.
with just a few SPAAs if necessary.
just focus on preventing the enemy from getting CAS Aircraft in the first place.

I disagree, gameplay wise the 2A5, 2A6, PSO and 2A7 are functionally identical (which is probably why they're all 11.7) with the exception of the 2A7 which has better armor but honestly if you've played one, you've played all four.
One thing I would say is to skip the 2A6 and go straight for the PSO and 2A7 because honestly it doesn't add much for how much it costs. I had to get it because it was top of the tree when I got there, this was before they added the PSO.
I grinded leo 2a6 for 400k rp when added, now its only 200k😐
I'm always dying with the 2a5/6 usually, i don't have the pso or 2a7 yet but if it's really good with it's new armor then i think it would help me survive matches more

German ground tech tree is literally busted.
Its super strong and enjoyable, having some of the strongest lineups in the game and some of the strongest vehicles too

1:16 it's not the L/55A1 barrel, it's the round. I'm sure DM73 is better than 152,14mm APFSDS what's in the obj 292 not only against pen but also other things like ERA

The leopard 2a7v is not (extremely) different to the 2a5 and 2a6.

I don’t know why but whenever I play Sweden or Germany or whatever those Russian teams are way stronger because those vehicles have stupidly Op armor which makes no sense etc.
Even the IFVs of Germany are not as good as they are supposed to be and on top of that the AA and Aircraft is not as strong as others.
So why blame the Leo for being a good top tier heavy?

I think Strv 122B+ is kinda better. Side Armour is better and gunners optics can't be HE-ied by T-series or Merkavas. Idk about Hesh but it probably doesn't work either. Only downside is worse ammo, but it's still third best ammunition

It used to be like that but now the Leopard 2A7 is better imo
sure the strv122plss over Leopard 2A6 but Leopard 2A7 has that nice gen 3 thermals whereas the strv122a, plss and b+ has only gen 1 but the b+ has more armor on the side
Germany has the best single vehicle, Sweden has a stronger overall lineup

It's a what would you rather. In my cqb orientated playstyle Sweden is better. More tanks with that better amour profile, better Spall liners and slightly better mobility.
The trade off for gen 1 thermals and lower pen doesn't matter too much in cqb. However if you prefer sniping or ranged playstyles....then the 2a7 will be the clear cut favourite.

Sweden's top tier Leos has better armor than Leo2A7, including front armor, and they are faster. There are 3 of them in Swedish TT. Leo2A7 anything but best.

leopard 2A7V is fun but they should make T90M more realistic since it is more armored and has better gun and is better at everything than the Leo A7V but T90M is nerfed to shit lower plate armor is removed turret has unrealistic armor and engine was nerfed also they didnt give it the most modern ammunition like they did to leopards 5 6 and 7

This is your brain on krokodil. Russian fighter pilots use off the shelf GPS units to navigate, you believe they're capable of what you claimed? It's possible but nobody is going to believe it lol
massively over rated while russians have the "second" best vehicles (T90M,BVM), best CAS jets and best AAs and best heli + best anti CAS jet. 2A7 is a piece of shit and hardly capable of doing more than what we could with 2A4. Yeeah yeah you might catch some rounds in the front "plate" which isnt great anyway. A decent tank that can hardly do anything against the angry russian bees spammers coming from all sides. So you can get 1-2 kills until some russian kid spawns his SU25 flying fortress, while you have a tornado for CAS LMAOOOO
