Excuse me for asking an unrelated question, but I haven't been able to find a good explanation with the help of google. Why is odd-number isotopes more fissile than even numbered isotopes.
It is due to the stability of the given nucleus (the n/p) ratio. I think that the full explanation is not yet readily available
