As a fellow nurse, I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos to help students. I also believe that patho is SUPER important, which is why I felt I needed to make this comment. In your video you refer to reuptake inhibitors as "slowing down of communication" or "one side of the phone call is being delayed". This is actually not what it means, and the only reason I'm commenting about this is because this is potentially really confusing for students. When a neurotransmitter like serotonin is bound to a receptor, that is when it is activated and bringing about an effect in the body. So as long as the serotonin is attached to the receptor, its working, and able to affect our emotions, etc. When serotonin is "reuptaked" thats when the serotonin releases from the receptor and no longer is having an effect. With SSRI's for example, we want to INHIBIT the reuptake of serotonin, which means that the serotonin will stay on the receptor LONGER so it will continue to have a therapeutic effect. So a reuptake inhibitor doesnt BLOCK the communication like you suggest, however it does the exact opposite and ENHANCES the effect and duration of that neurotransmitter

I love the original videos, they take me back to when I was in nursing school. I still refer to them to this day. Thanks, Mike!
