Timex is killing it lately. I really hope they muster their engineering prowess and make an inhouse movement. They should be able to do that, I would certainly pay more for one.
In my opinion, 24-hour sub-dials should at least be made into graphic moon-and-sun indicators if they can't be tweaked into GMT sub-dials. A 24-hour always feel like an unnecessary filler and "let's call it another function" for me.
Hi Tim. On this watch, one of the two words "Marlin" is redundant. It's either on the dial or it's on the bezel, but it can't be in both places. I wonder what Timex was thinking. By the way, as for the watches that you show at the beginning of the video, I choose the Marlin with the Peanuts gang. I am back to childhood (it's never too late to do it). Regards from Chile!
I just got a quartz Marlin Snoopy watch on sale, too... So, I can get this beauty 😅 (I agree that posting the name of the model or brand (or additional literature) might be unnecesarily or redundant, and even a lack of elegance...but casio has got me used to that a long time ago. 😂
You're looking at this watch through an artists eye. I see it as you point it out but I don't appreciate it as much as you. Just curious as to why Lorier gets a pass on plexi crystals and for Timex it's a cost issue. The Chinese put sapphire on lots of watches under $100.
This watch has already been discontinued! Ridiculous. It's Out of Stock on the Timex website and when I emailed asking when it would be back they said it was no longer in production. V bizarre.
Now, It is back on the on line shop! (It is not a limited edition, but Timex produces annoyingly small batches of their most innovative design. (They might have a very conservative budget for the design department... despite they are raising the bar of the brand! )).
Timex has really cool, innovative dials. But they are over priced. You open up the case back and the mechanical movement is held in place by really cheap plastic. Closed case backs, cheap straps, high prices, NOPE, haven't found a good value from timex yet.
The more I see this watch the more I like it. You can always count on Timex to bring something different to the table. Nice one, Tim!

It's good to see makers innovating case design.
I’ve been looking at Timex much differently lately . Glad to see the brand making a bit of resurgence ! Great Video !
You've got to admire Timex for trying something different. Terrible strap. Great video.👍
Thanks!
I think Timex's design team have been looking at Bulova's Jet Star.🤔
It's like the accessible version of the stunning new glass box design TAG Heuer introduced last year with the Carrera.
Nice Find. Thanks.
24 hour indicator is very useful if you are gambling in Vegas and no longer sure if it is night or day😂
Actually the best reason I've heard so far. :-D

Gorgeous also crown appears nightmare producing to manipulate
It doesn't exist anymore on the web for certain countries. It “disappeared" two weeks ago from the Marlin collection.
Because it's out of stock. They didn't expect this much demand!

Yes, I had the same feeling. Why two times?!
Only reason I didn't purchase it. It reminds me of my early Invicta years when I was a bit inexperience .

Another great episode 👏
Thank you!
It's a nice development on the Marlin though I'm not keen on that word duplication either.
Yeah. That's quite handsome. I like the stripey effect.

Keep an eye on Amazon. Sometimes an odd one becomes available.
