LJLA's First Cadet Firefighter Programme

In January 2016, LJLA embarked on its first RFFS Cadet Programme, inviting members of the local community to apply for an amazing opportunity.
Falling within the Airports Community Plan, three young adults were given the chance to gain valuable experience, working within the highly demanding Airport environment.
Starting their 12 month experience in April 2016, the three Cadets undertook an eight week basic Firefighter training course.
As the 12 month Cadetship draws to a close, LJLA’s second Cadet Programme starts this week, with three new team members joining the Airport community, embarking on an eight week basic Firefighting course.
