r/Entitledparents - "Give My Child Your Wheelchair NOW!" Story 2!

  • r/Entitledparents think that they're entitled to everything... even the wheelchair of a disabled person! This is one of the most unbelievable entitled parents I've ever seen in a Reddit post! This mom thinks that a person isn't disabled enough to deserve a wheelchair, so she demands it for her son. I mean, WTF lady? Sometimes I think these entitled parents are actually insane. How do they think they can get away with it?

Since every lawyer will always ask about the charges before setting up a meeting I'm sure she had to get a public defender, who I bet would have to go back to Monarchy law and cite a case of this Noble took a cart used by a legless peasant to quickly reach the Kings court to not be beheaded, and the courtroom would just look stunned thinking, "Is her son related to a king of a country that no longer exists" or claim the girl works for al-Qaida Edit: To clarify, lawyers are required to do their best to represent a client or go to jail, US jails are intense so I'm assuming they will do the bare minimum to not be jailed.

They can actually range up to 1k too, depending on what you actually pay for. You *can* buy one for cheaper, around say 100, but the quality for that is definitely not going to be up to snuff. And with a disability like the OP had in the story, paying that much is more than likely way worth it rather than settling for a cheap version.

@@Stingray-hx9xw Even if they know the disease exists, they like to downplay the effects. My pc actually told me that "EDS can't cause that much pain." I felt like telling him, "pick 5 joints, that's how many of mine dislocate on a good day, and after we dislocate them, if you can tell me that they don't hurt, then I will give up trying for quality of life improvement." I've had many major surgeries, starting with my left knee at the age of 15. My spine now dislocates, forcing me into a cervical collar, and walking aids/wheelchair. I've had someone try for my wheelchair twice, and my walker once. I can't even remember how many times I've had to prove my parking placard is mine. I no longer drive myself now, but I've had the placard since I was 15 (I'm 36). Bonus, EDS isn't in the disability blue book, so it's actually really hard for someone with EDS to get benefits. I haven't been able to live alone or work since I was 21, and I'm almost completely bed-bound now, but I'm not disabled according to my state.

This has to get off my chest, I grew up with: "Do not stare at a disabled person! Do not bother the disabled person!" I only look if I notice they need something from the shelf and (for some reason) give a peaceful little bow. I seriously don't know why I bow... Few weeks ago a very old lady was before me in the line and the cassier asked her wallet, she couldn't find her card and people waited already a long time. She started to sob when the cassier said: "How are we going to solve this?" - I just gave my card, it's a pandemic and it's the least I can do, I'm in disability myself, so I gave her a small bow and wished her a nice day, while she cried saying: "There are still some people..." - The cassier knows me well and rubbed tears away - "Dangit, you are way too kind..." I told her, if this lady on a cart has to walk back to her service flat and back, she'll be much more tired - I don't know her and tbh, just help each other and she wasn't entitled at all. All I know is that I made the entire line cry, the cassier and the old lady...

I have EDS clients and I have seen the pain and terrible injuries these amazing people have to go through in their lives. I had one girl dislocate her wrist by working with clay!!! Nothing I did but she tried too hard to push the clay and her wrist popped out! She had a great time but it was painful for her. She still came back (after a week or so off to let her wrist heal) she is such a beautiful human too 🥰

For one why would the lil brats want to put something that had been in another person's ear into their own ear? Also they just make everything sound louder so they could damage the lil brat's normal hearing. Idk much about insulin pumps but I think they have a needle and tube that goes in the user's skin. My friend would have her joints pop out and pinch nerves frequently and her muscles were spasming mimicking a localized seizure before she was diagnosed because they were trying to overcompensate for her joints (I wish I could remember what she has exactly but I can’t, it’s a ridiculous long name), she didn’t get it until her freshman year of college when we met and I’ve sat with her on the hospital as she just full body shakes and sobs in pain. It’s horrible to witness, luckily most of the time she’s fine now that she has an electric wheelchair. She often says when one thing pops out several things pop out of place with it

While I have been harassed for being in one before, (someone literally screamed at me while driving down the road to get out of my wheelchair) I can't imagine what I would do if someone did that to me.
My mother, however, is fiercely protective of me, and I can say for certain that she would most likely dislocate the exact joints that are dislocated on me in the process to whoever dared rip me from my chair, so they would know how it feels.

Judge: You won't go to jail. Sentenced to Death Row, effective immediately. You can go talk to your victim and tell them how you feel about it in a week Ma'am. And if I would add anything, you might want to arrange living conditions for your son while you still can. You will have a police officer on you at all times and will be handcuffed 24/7. We will be doing a search of your house to check for possible murder weapons and any other intended targets. Case closed.

People always look so baffled when I explain what an "ambulatory wheelchair user" is, like I'm lying. Y'know, because I obviously have nothing better to do than scam myself out of money and lie to bystanders. 😂😂
I felt every single joint pop/snap in that post though. My eyes started actually watering. (I also have EDS 3)

It just baffles me, these people who don't believe in non-visible illnesses. I don't have a physical illness, but I suffer from severe anxiety and am a high functioning autistic--and OH how I dread the possible day when some moron(s) think I'm a faker.
Just... even when I was a kid even younger than that boy I knew people who are in wheelchairs VERY MOST LIKELY NEED IT. Sure, I would think it'd be fun to ride in one but I knew not to ask people for theirs SINCE I KNEW IT WAS NOT A GODDAMN TOY!
Just... HOW? How do these arrogant know-it-alls think they have a right to judge and denounce people!? HOW DO THEY THINK IT'S OKAY TO MESS WITH A DISABLED PERSON!? It's sickening!
I feel so disgusted and enraged and hopeless. To see people who have WAY more serious issues than I do be treated so APPALLINGLY to basically be a near-constant occurrence... it's one of the worst things I've heard when it comes to social stuff. And I'm not just feeling and acting this on as a knee-jerk reaction of hearing this story, I've felt just as angry and upset about this in the past.
I'm so sorry to hear this happens to you guys.

I don't have the disease but... I don't know hearing this video... it just had me tearing up and ready to just beat the ever-loving hell out of that woman. Seriously... I think it's good for both me and her that it didn't happen where I am, otherwise, I would probably be facing some good jail time for beating that woman up. I can't fathom the strength you and all the others with this disease has. You're all truly amazing 💖
