Thanks so much. So much of what you mentioned ring true for me. Looking to get rebalanced/reduced after a lumpectomy a year ago. So many attitudes against me supporting my decision including the original surgeon! Luckily I played tennis with a chief of staff who said that many younger surgeons are embracing the “whole” woman. He suggested a cosmetic surgeon at his hospital. Things change too….I was told originally that they would not touch the irradiated breast but, evidently my healing is spectacular. So going forward without much support from family, but I am so unfazed by their stance..I know it is right for me! What I have learned, like what has been said here, people feel really different about breasts! Ends up, I am going to get what I want!
