What great craftsmen I have cut down many trees and processed the wood for fire wood I envy these guys for being able to take the time and harvest the wood for a much better use.

I kept dulling my chainsaw mill on clean wood I finally figured out the cooling air from powerhead was blowing dust dirt off ground an getting into cut causing dulling. I placed old plywood on ground as barrier between powerhead an ground 3 x longer between sharpnenings.
Excellent potential in long bar with more safety and foresight into raising the project away from rocks and dirt on the ground and never allow hands or limbs to cross that saw path as wisely pointed out in previous contents. Here in Philippines ive seen chainsaw sawyers cut lengths of hardwood boards from .7 meter diameter trees over 4.or 5. lengths x 0.050 meters with accuracy and precision into fantastic framing lumber with that smaller bar. Amazing to watch.
Perfect fit for my Echo CS-370, and the chain cuts very well ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBd8qUztQUCL8Rm1-aIig5ViBT2E_kO_6 . I had been using a Stihl chain that I had sharpened several times (sometimes at a shop, sometimes with my own electric chain sharpener), and there's no comparison -- the new chain cuts much better and holds its edge longer. We'll see how the new chain holds up when it needs sharpening, but for now I'm happy.
I made my own chainsaw mill with some all thread, a couple washers and nuts, some spacers, and a piece of heavy duty angle iron works just as good as the ones you buy online.
Bar does not determine how fast the saw cuts looks like that long by I didn't get oiled enough all the way around. Sounded a little tight at the end of the cut. Remember boys your long bars you need to throw little more oil at the chain. Probably wouldn't be impossible to get that log up off the ground a little bit that's a lot of chain to file
It also stretches alot. I like the regular 404 chain more on big bars. A bit slower and thicker cut? Sure. But worth not having to readjust the tensioner from extra stretching, sharpening less often and it doesn't break when hitting metal. RM and ripping chain in .404 ftw!
I hope you recovered just fine from your shock. Indeed a good chain saw can be quite shock for a lot of people. I recommend that you stay away from viewing videos of high speed trains or videos of high tech holography!
Only reason I said it is because I know a guy who cut is whole hand open from a chain snapping just cuz it’s turning clockwise doesn’t mean it can’t get u just much less likely
awesome xxxxl oak slaps ...and good job.12.35. kind of art the joint of the axe head with the screws! how old ist this axe? is it a heritage of your grandfather? isn`t it always the same with things. the one part its better but at coping with other things its getting worse... difficult decission taking the old chain or the new one
Thats the problem with yard trees is more often then not they have metal in them somewhere. Your lucky if its only a nail or 2. I have seen cable, chain, pieces of pipe, rebar, spikes, bullets, and probably other stuff that I can't think of off the top of my head.
My 62-inch bar came in today and they gave me a chain for a 52 in needless to say I'm pissed off because I've got a monster of a tree in my backyard to slice up
Too bad the bar doesn't cut anything, it's just a guide for what does... longer bars are actually slower after a point. The saw can only pull so much before length and speed equal out
The guy on top pushing the wood should be told thats bot very safe to be up there as if that chain breaks with that bar being so long it could whip up and hit him.
Looks similar to what I used here on the west coast of bc years ago. Was a Stihl 090 with the Alaskan saw mill attachment. Very similar attachment to what is in the demo.
I'm 52 yo and have long ago come to terms with the fact that I'm a bit of a Dumbass as a result of this I know better than to attempt this. Thanks for the post

That'd make one hell of a coffee table!
excellent recovery out on the job sight & beautiful slabs , the reward !!!
This tree was around during the prohibition and the great depression kinda of sad if you think about it.
More likely this tree was around during the rise and fall of the soviet union.

Good catch!
Yeah, dust and dirt are nasty for keeping chains sharp. Hell, even cutting through cavities in oaks with animal feces will dull them pretty quickly.
Yup, I wondered why they didn't lower that log onto some 4 by 4's on the ground. Oh well.

Those knipex pliers when you repaired the chain are awesome. I had a pair and i miss them.

That's it. That's the weapon for a zombie apocalypse.
Mesmerized... A skill I wish I knew.
That's The John Holmes of chain saws.
I've been cutting firewood since I was a kid and I've never seen a bar this long !
Likewise. But I've never seen a chain bar ever cut wood without the chain.
Let alone cutting it twice as fast..👀
@@cynthiaayers7696 yeah that was amazing actually.
Nice slab! And that bar is huge!
I’m jealous. I want that saw and log. Just imagine the carpenters wood working benches you could make from that log.
Work benches? Your thinking to small. That log could make a bunch of "live edge" tables that would sell for 3-5x as much as a work bench.
Hell that first slab he dropped, that could easily sell for 5k as a decorative table.
That or mantle pieces
What a beautiful bar or countertop. !! What kind of wood is it?

That's all right. Additional lubrication is needed. Not done yet. We need to work on this issue. Sawing much faster with 3/8 bar than 404
@@BelkoWood yeah, less cutting taking place and less weight for the engine to pull
@@BelkoWood😊
My goodness, these are gorgeous slabs of wood. 😍

Nice coffee table top..
Cut lengthwise for dinner table ..

No 💩.
The snowflakes should just stay in their "safe space".
And away from anything that looks like actual work.
Good job beautiful.
thanks ✌️✌️✌️
That chainsaw bar is the "Cookie Monster"....
My brain is mush, that I am entertained by a chainsaw cut
Beautiful slabs🤩
So, was this some type of oak or walnut? Yes the Chainsaw was impressive!😊
That's some beautiful wood..
I'm sure that stuff probably goes for at minimum 5 to 6k a slab.. WoW..
Nice work guys..
Imagine if that chain snapped or came loose instead of just getting your hands/arms it could wrap around your whole body
It is spinning away, not towards you. I've had many chains break and they always fly around the log away from me.
Only reason I said it is because I know a guy who cut is whole hand open from a chain snapping just cuz it’s turning clockwise doesn’t mean it can’t get u just much less likely

That was good. Like it.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
What size bar are you running and chains and where did you get it from cheers mate
Excellent, I would never have the balls to use a saw that big.
You sure must keep your saw sharp and well balanced great job thank you
Without proper sharpening, sawing is unlikely to succeed. Thanks for the feedback
Last I checked its the chain does the cutting. J.k. are you running a still 880?
Impressed! What's the freaking drive length on that deal?
You know those V8 powered competitive logging chainsaws are way way faster
Totally badass
That bar's not long enough 😂
hi belko what kind of chain you use ? Good job :)
🤚 3/8, 1,3 Stihl
thanks :)
Thanks likit
1 man sawmill 😎
Very neat
Need a thousand dollars in chain for that bar!

Have you ever heard of wedges never put your arm or body part over a running saw

Imagine getting chased with that chainsaw ._.
You would have to get a 5 second head start that thing has a 6ft reach on it lol
Never seen a bar that long
Can ask what size was the saw you were using for that bar?????

What do you call the great patriotic war?
So, what are you guys planning on doing with all that wood?
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
The guy on top pushing the wood should be told thats bot very safe to be up there as if that chain breaks with that bar being so long it could whip up and hit him.
Or if he slips off his seat he's got nowhere to go but straight down onto the chain
What saw is that he using and what brand is the sword ? More spesific info about the equipment....would i recommend.

Looks like a 660 or 066 to me
It has a timber chain almost twice the teeth used in logging for a living .
The bar dosent cut the chain does the bar just holds the chain
I am in shock! It's not twice as fast. It's behind average.
660? Or 880? With the long bar?
Wish they would respond to one of us
I think I see a new chainsaw massacre horror movie in the make.
I'm 52 yo and have long ago come to terms with the fact that I'm a bit of a Dumbass as a result of this I know better than to attempt this. Thanks for the post
Perty slow cutting. You could use a bar half that length and cut faster. Also, sharpening your chain would help.
Woww very long bar💪💪💪..How many inches long is this bar.??
63 inches
Diameter of log and chainsaw bar length?

Would hate for the chain break. I dont think that chain guard would do much.
Just like a slice of good steak
Try that with an ironbark
Perfect for the zombies
Is it Red Oak?
How long is that bar
Need to sharpen that chain. Looks like its making dust, not shavings?
If thats twice as fast i'd hate to see regular speed.
