Best set I ever had was a straight clear green like the kraken but no glitter that I inherited from my uncle and it was so old he couldn't remember what brand it was but they had sharp corners and rolled beautifully for how old they were being 25ish years old when I received them. I wish I knew what brand they were because I would get them again.
I just bought the same set of borealis dice and I love them. I wanted to see if anyone was nerdy enough to review dice and low and behold, first search result is some one else also love the same dice! We got good taste!
Found one of those Chessex d4s in a random d4 bin and I can't wait to complete the set.
I fell in love
I only use d10s, so some of the comments about the d20 being polished to almost a ball do not apply to my sets. For strictly d10 play, Chessex is far and away the winner. Would have been cool for you to test the roll balance as well. Chessex roll statistics are super solid.
i have the chessex ones and i love them! i watched this video before getting them and it’s an all-around good video, and you properly showed the dice in good realistic lighting which is great! also i’m a big curious as to which song/piece is playing in the background when the chessex dice are shown? :))
Oh man, I wish I could remember the music. It was included within the very basic video editing app that I had at the time I did this. I'm glad the video helped make your decision
Do they make a set comparable to the Borealis sky blue?
Not as of yet. Blue isn't in there Mystic Lineup

Frozen Soul is a blue in the mystics line, but it's not the same as Chessex's.

Are you team Chessex or team Kraken?
I'm more for Kraken now that I've gotten some, but Chessex are much more easily accessible since they're in just about any local Board Games shop(instant gratification and all that).

Chessex. Their marketing isn't as good, but visually, they're superior, and Kraken's customer service has issues.
