I only have a 2 years old Redmi 9 with miui 13 that still works fine since the first time I used it
The great thing is that I believe that redmi is gonna be popular because it's cheap and beautiful some even have 6gb ram the same ram at iPhone

Good things about A1: Clean design that doesn't make the phone look cheap; speaker at the top so not easy to be blocked when holding in landscape; almost stock Android
Not so good things: Still using microUSB; no 4GB RAM option; weak chipset
lol the original Xiaomi A1 is still way better in every way and its not much more expensive so many years ago
this phone is pure garbage and a waste of resources

But the Redmi A1 is not bad for those looking for a cheap stock Android phone. Nokia C01 Plus is the same price as the A1 in my country and it is inferior in every way

the original Xiaomi A1 is octa core cpu this so called 2022 offering is quad core cpu and still slower than that Xiaomi A1 released in 2017. The original A1 also had 12+12MP camera, 1080p screen, 4GB RAM and slimmer body at only a tiny bit higher price back in 2017 and already discount to dirt cheap by 2019.
You better off buying a 2nd hand phone and flash it still works tons better

my Xiaomi A1 still works great to this day as my secondary phone and guess what? youtube playback is smooth while i see review of Redmi A1 is lagging wtf pfft
if it release in 2018 then maybe it can be competitive but even in that year there are many phone that are higher spec at similar price to crush this bottom sewer trash.

You feel the Redmi is trash, fine thats your opinion. But the Mi A1 was not launched at less than $100 in 2017. If i take their launch prices in my country, the Mi A1 was 3x the Redmi A1's price, so not what i would call fair comparison.

i dont know if you feel good about technology going backward, but last i check Poco M3 is the minimum standard for a budget smartphone and they flash sale at the same price of Redmi A1 in year 2021 every month. Compare those 2 made poco M3 looks like a flagship lol

@F. ginroh I use only a single cable, that's why. All My low end phones to older flagships and tws earbuds are all using the same port. That dreaded micro USB needs to go just like mini USB

@@MrQuackism dude, even blackview low end rugged phones now comes with USB C, the moto e20 which is an android Go phone also has a USB C port. Brands like Motorola, OnePlus, Honor, Huawei, Poco, Lenovo don't offer micro USB anymore which is a great thing

1 Ютуб и ТТ часто тупит и рывками видео после выхода из приложений ещё секунд двадцать звук видео есть потом ошибка приложения
2 не понял чего но часто выдает ещё ошибка system
3 галимый бабушкофон который толком ничего не тянет
4 блютуз живёт своей жизнью, что от колонки JBL что от наушников когда хочет сам отключается, потом через секунд тридцать подключается обратно
5 при поднятии трубки непонятно поднял ли или нет на тормозах через сек 5 показывает что разговор начался
6 камера просто конченная
Один плюс это батарея на 5000mah
До этого был Xiaomi Redmi note5 3/42 и хочу такой же купить только 4/64 а этот кал сдам назад пусть сами пользуются

If it works, it works, I mainly use my phone for making calls, sending texts, and browsing the internet... I have an i-phone but I would be very sad if it got stolen. Xiomi Redmi A1 has relatively good specifications despite its cheap price. The battery life lasts a lot longer too.
