Chassis breaking stuff on those bumps, and hard on the wrists. I with my mate Chris Silver did the Snetterton hours in 1968, and we broke the chassis - twice - and after the race my wrists puffed up like balloons!. If the chassis hadn't broke we'd have been in the top 5 in class. As it was we were 19th out of 120. Ho Hum.
Legend
The old days were the best days
crazy
Agreed. Remember the days of the British Kart Grand Prix at Silverstone in the early 90's. Names like Martin Hines, Perry Gronstra, Stuart Mead etc ...
As a driver, this gives a good look as to how fast you are moving. It is not the top speed, but the acceleration that blows you away! And the high speed!
Lookin a lot safer than the bike day in the same place. And it looks so fun!
my neck is hurting just watching!! lol but even so I want a go sooo bad!!
That dude at 5:38 ...holy crap lol
This was right at the start of what today is known as the superkarts, It was called 250cc gearbox class. The US also had a 350cc gearbox class that was short lived.
They were called Formula E. Back in 1991
I have raced 250 superkarts here in the state and Canada. It is like an all day plane crash. I'd give anything to drive that course
Wish they still did this.
tourist superkart trophy !!!
I’m so glad I know this exists 😂
*existed, sorry
Balls of steel
.....or Ass of Steel with all the bumps & zero suspension 😉
160 km/h is nowhere near what these karts could reach at race tracks! Notice: this is a very short version of IOT circuit.
OOOH My Back!!!😅😅😅
