I originally thought The Passing had some random characters that the survivors happened to come across. I moved on to Dark Carnival without a second thought. Later I got told that one guy's body can be found in the generator room. Still didn't find it (somehow). Then I played the rest of the campaigns and got all the way to The Sacrifice. I thought it had some kind of superficial meaning, like... idk. Something. Then as the bridge stalled and it said "someone has to restart the generator... looks like a one way trip!" I still didn't get it. The zombies swarmed me and Bill died. "In memory of Bill." I covered my mouth in shock. Went back and played The Passing again and it made sense. Bill's body was even there. I feel like it was unfair to have him die, but understand it from a lore choice. It also makes sense if you've read the official comic that stitches together Blood Harvest and The Sacrifice. I've mourned the deaths of more fictional characters than real people. Headcanon says The Sacrifice did not end in tragedy. They all made it. The L4D2 survivors show up on their way from Dead Center, and all team up. The remaining campaigns are composed of eight survivors. They all get air-lifted out of The Parish and make it to safety, wherever that is. I'm aware that the original survivors are asymptomatic carriers, but it's never explained if the L4D2 survivors are immune or also carriers. Let me have this.
@@conee1499 No, The Last Stand is not canon to the story. I've been told it takes place between Crash Course and Death Toll, or something similar, if it were to be placed. There was also supposed to be a campaign before Blood Harvest called Dam It, or so I've read.
@@Shady_InktailThat’s the campaign that was supposed to explain how the survivors in Dead Air ended up in Blood Harvest. You can technically call it Canon as well because in that campaign, the ending of it is you being at the start of Blood Harvest.
