Honestly, with such a low initial investment I'm thrilled to see anything above flour in the pan. Very cool novelty-level product! I'm gonna make my kids a panning station this summer with exactly 1 gram in the material so they can practice over and over while measuring their capture rate.
I use to buy these when I needed a quick gold fix between prospecting trips. I bought them at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry. Looks like the same amount of gold. Have not bought any for at least four years now. They became harder to get and I was told the company that made them changed hands.
I love the weekly paydirt subscription you offer. It's been so exciting to know there's always another one in the mail on its way to me. Great paydirt😊😊
Sounds fun! Best advice would be to bring mosquito repellant and get ready to deal with lots of clay! ALso, don't expect running water in any major capacity. Sometimes you have it, sometimes you won't.
Yes, there's a shop in Colorado that I went to and found the same bags. I'm not sure if they git them in bulk or what, but they had about 25 30 bags left a couple of years ago 😅
Oops we got some dogs barking in the background * pauses video * “ Shut the hell up! I’m panning! “ * starts video * Ok sorry about that 😂👍🏻 Great video, keep ‘em coming 🙌🏻
Hey Shane, love the video. I know that back then that would have been nice but still should have been more like a 60%ROI. I am working on some equipment that I am building myself and when I am finished with it. I am going to order several different paydirts from you and test my equipment. I believe with my design that I will be able to run material unclassified with minimal amount of water on a recirculating system. Hope it works for me. Georgia is a pan and shovel only state but I can collect in buckets and take it away from the stream and run it through my system. Happy hunting and keep up the videos. Love watching them.
I just stumbled across ur amazing videos! Fascinating! I actually live in Lancaster, mass, which is one of the only places in the world that have cross rocks, I would absolutely love to go find some, I just never have the time with my kids and my jobs and things as such. I still wanna find diamonds and gold and things like that! But I doubt I ever would
I have a bag of this same stuff I bought last year at some random rock and crystal shop in Montana. Can’t remember how much I paid for it but they are still out there. Mine didn’t have a ton of gold but for what I bought it for it made sense
Mama's Minerals in Albuquerque is moving locations. I was going to buy some paydirt but they aren't re-stocking untill they complete the move. Everything is discounted right now, especially the big stuff.
😂 that’s hilarious! Someone must be releasing a secrets stash of these. I had one. Got it in a metal pan kit. And have been seeing them pop up all over. They have almost nothing for gold in them. But they’re fun. Mine came with a metal pan and a neat book about prospecting from the 60’ or 70’s. From what I could find for info. It’s Arizona sand mixed with Alaska gold.
Making a video like that honestly would just be a waste of your time, and a cash grab on my end for an insane amounts of views. I've done you one better and to save you the hassle, I've created my own Paydirt with all the positive attributes I'd expect if I were buying it. 1. Always Over the Guaranteed minimum amounts of gold. 2. Real placer mining concentrates for authentic experience. 3. Different levels of difficulty for everyone, beginner to "impossible". 4. Same day shipping, worldwide every day 5. The largest bonus bags (some over 1,200% ROI) I've ever seen, for a real chance to experience what hitting the jackpot is really like. 6. Paydirt starts at $8. Kleshgold.com
Just received my bags from Klesh and very, very satisfied. Please avoid Lynch Mining at all costs as they are having serious trouble with customer support and basically taking your money without delivering a product. Sorry @Klesh for sounding like a broken record.
I am always still here it funny because I never fast-forward a video I act like it's a TV show and not many people do that hey a flack of gold is better than no flak of gold
Is that you playing the guitar in the background? I'm a metals stacker, so I enjoy the panning videos, but I remember you talking about guitars as one of your passions.
I do compose music in some of my videos, but don't consider myself a guitar player. I'm a guitar builder, check my other channel KleshGuitars, where I do all sorts of woodworking, and of course building Klesh custom guitars.
Hopefully I'll be getting a few begs for the first time within this month. Love your videos though I subscribed not long ago and ever since I've been going to my local banks trying to buy old silver coins. Hope to win that bag of pay

You have quite a few options for gold panning in the denver area - easy access would be Arapahoe bar gold panning area in wheat ridge, or if you'd like to get away from town, you can drive out route 6 west of golden and pan in Clear Creek (past tunnel 1, but not past the 119 intersection)
Going by the price they paid at the time with price of gold on video its a ROI of 26.58%. Seen videos from you with lesser ROI from current vendors. Maybe check my maths as been along time since used it. $1.05/$3.95×100
I suspect most paydirt bags back then had a similar ROI, cost around the same, and were primarily low quantity and sold primarily to tourists in old mining towns and hobby shops. Maybe organizations like the GPAA would sell you a quality bag, but for the most part it was a $5 bag with 15 cents of gold in it. They didn’t sell a lot and didn’t get rich off of them… That being said, it was probably a mistake. They looked at it as a souvenir that people would buy once in their life instead of as a tool to create hobbyists. The real ROI in a gold paydirt bag is in how much gold you get to see and there’s a big difference between 10 small pieces and 200. If someone bothered to buy a pan and pan down their bag there’s already some interest. It’s the difference between that’s interesting, I wonder what TNT has on this evening, and holy cow I gotta get some more of this. They essentially robbed people of a taste of what the 49er’s experienced. Gold does look good in the pan and a lot of gold, even if you’re actually losing money on it, looks divine!
Scratch that i found it. Subscribing now, keep and eye out for alec 😅 love your content and your paydirt is my absolute favorite from the 20+ products ive tried (including dan hurds) 😂 keep up the amazing work!!
Never use paydirt as a way to invest in gold. If you're looking to invest, buy straight gold bullion from a reputable dealer (never ebay or pawn shops). Gold paydirt is a way to experience gold panning without needing to spend years learning how to "read the river", buying thousands in gold prospecting gear, traveling to a gold bearing area or dealing with the many pesky laws out there regarding gold prospecting.
@@Klesh I have silver and gold, unfortunately I have found myself in a place where I may need to sell at least some silver to cover some bills that have somewhat popped up out of nowhere. 🤦♂️
When the dollar is worth less due to out of control money printing, you get the illusion that things become more expensive. Every dollar they print devalues every dollar you have saved.
How can an individual prospector like myself send you some crushed ore for you to test. It is nearly impossible to process and separate all the sulfites, pyrites from the precious metals. Are you up for a challenge, one scoop takes over an hour to pan down even halfway!
I've done some hard rock mining in Alaska which included recovering the gold from sulfides, however this has already been done on this channel so I'll have to pass on the offer but thanks anyway!
This is only one series on this channel, I have over 500 videos here all different types of treasure hunting including gold panning (on the river), metal detecting, fossil hunts, sunken ship wreck scuba diving, yard sales , etc ...
Man I've paid 50+$ for 1lb or sometimes 5lb bags from ebay sellers and got that amount or less im so tired of these scammerz out their , always advertised as unsearched and promises nuggets 😢
You certainly can "go out in the woods and find gold", however many people simply can't for a few possible reasons. The first reason that comes to mind is that they may be disabled. I personally know many guys who are in wheelchairs but also enjoy panning for gold. This is a problem for them. The next reason is that maybe someone enjoys gold prospecting at the river, however, they live 2000 miles away from the nearest gold bearing area. This is a problem for them. Next reason - lack of knowledge on "where to look", lack of funds to buy gold prospecting equipment, lack of knowledge on laws regarding gold prospecting, lack of time due to work commitments...etc. These are a few reasons off the top of my head.
@@Klesh I guess I could say all sorts of stuff. It's all I can say is you guys are welcome for the gold that we risk our lives and time to go and get so that other people can pan

Great video as always Klesh! 👍👍
Thanks for posting again Shane!!
$1.05! You know what costs $1.05? Freedom. Freedom costs a buck-o-five.
Cause freedom isn't free, it cost folks like you and me. And if you don't put your buck O five in, then who WILLLLLLLLLL
I like your videos because you buy others paydirt and pan it out and come up with a value. Thank you. And thank you for your service.
I was worried when Klesh went so long without posting. Glad youre okay
I love these videos. Was good to see one. It has been a while. Thanks for sharing.
Good to see you back in the Saddle brother.

Great job panning fam. Keep on having fun getting that au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out!!!
I bought that same bag in Leadville in 2001. I paid about the same price then. It was kind of fun back then.
Womp, womp. I love how the guitar pick completely dwarfed the gold. 😂

Thank you, Klesh this was, an old one but a cool one.
Shane, great to have a new video. I missed your mellifluous voice.

I've seen that same packaged pay dirt at gift shops in tourist traps back in the 80s, I don't think there will be much good if any!
