@@tiagomartins4488 I'd say that if you are going ~mach 0.9-1.1 and you overshot an SU-25 or A-10, go into a 20-degree climb while maintaining your speed. The F-104 has one strength, and only one; going fast. Speed is your lifeblood in that plane, and losing it means certain death.
F-104A is garbage, it's best skill, is run away. You can dogfight in it, cuz is maneuvering is worse than a brick, it's best air-air loadout is 2 AIM-9Bs. It's got all of two advantages, speed, and an M61 at a relatively low BR, and even that's only 1/2 of an upside, cuz, again, damn thing can''t even out turn a brick, so you have zero chance of being able to shoot it unless you're head-on. And of course, it's going to be going up against aircraft like the F-4C, F-100 and the SU-25, so on top of the complete lack of any turn whatsoever, it's gonna be facing missiles like AIM-9Es, and R-3Rs. And for the cherry on top, it's got no countermeasures, and don't forget, 9Ls exist at 10.0.
That may be true, but 8.3 and 8.7 down tiers are surprisingly common, so the speed is even more of an advantage, and the 9Bs are fine. The 9Es can easily be out-turned by the 104 (provided that someone gets close enough to actually launch one) The 9Ls aren’t too big of a problem bc if you get up-tiered to 10.3, than you’re probably going to have the aforementioned SU-25/A-10 on your team anyway, so let them fight each other. I find the F-104 to be genuinely fun, but to each their own, I guess.
@@ANDREWISNTSOGOODER It could be that in my area, there is a more favorable 9.3 matchmaker. I have seen larger RUclipsrs mention the variance between different areas of the US or the world.

@@cleengreeny never 8.7, lowest i've gotten is 9.0, 75% of the time tho, it ends up at 10.0
