the place my wife and i got married. had some great views from her apartment. (st Pauls, hotel lisboa, Macau tower and plenty more). Her youngest daughter still lives there so will be back there and will have a great time again

I just had my relatives from Macau visiting us in 🇿🇦 for over 2 weeks holiday.
I have been to Macau on 3 separate occasions when I visited China to see my relatives there. 1987, 1996 and 2020.
@xyyyyx3247 Macau and HK SAR passport holders can enter SA visa-free, while mainland Chinese passport holders have a visa-on-arrival arrangement.
I guess they need to explore mutual visa-free arrangements with mainland China.
Look at Mauritius and Seychelles as examples.
Morocco and Egypt has visa-free exemption for Chinese mainland tourists.
Can't believe that Macao is a popular place for racing given the fact that it's a relatively small place.
It was previously colonized by Portugal.
Comparable to that of Monaco, a tiny European kingdom off southern France.
You should study the racing history of Macau.
I remember going to Macau and hiring the Mini Mokes driving to the different islands.

Great video Lee , I remember walking down that cobbled street , I see you didn’t venture into the casinos then ? I had a look they had the biggest chandeliers I’ve ever seen . They also do motorcycle racing there too , I remember you having a go on Martins motorcycle many years ago 😂😂 Mike !

You missed the casinos, lee. The galaxy have a beautiful light attraction there. 100s of millions are spent on the casinos and its worth visiting just to take up the decore and special themes. The Londoner is one of my favourites

Actually all the modern infrastructures were built after macau was returned to China in 1999. Before the return, macau was just a rundown , seedy casino town riddled with vices n gang crimes .The portuguese didnt care about the colony anymore as the sun had set on portugal empire a long time ago .n they didnt find the colony worthwhile for them to keep it. So they actually requested China to take back macau long before the lease expiry on 1999 but China declined their request
Macao recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of their return to China . Can see from the videos of the celebration and your video , how much Macao have changed in the past 25 yrs . It has been redeveloped into more diversified n vibrant economy you see today.. Also clean up the crimes , so its safe .
Also see the casinoes upgraded to make them part of integrated international convention n entertainment business centre which will promote tourism n FnB industries as well. In addition , Macao has been included into the greater Bay Area development which will integrate Macao with Hk , zhuhai , shenzhen on the mainland to bcome international convention, cultural events centre , technology n innovation hub

Macau has thrived after the handover because the Portuguese left Macau along the people embraced the mother land. While the British couldn't let go of Hongkong and meddled in its affairs and Hongkongers where too proud to embrace the mainland. Now Hongkong suffers.
very much correct... and some in HK now have disdain for Macau for that reason. it's crazy.
The positive legacy as well of the 1974 Carnation Revolution in Portugal which toppled the conservative government and the constitutional monarchy it was servile with.
That is led by leftists, liberals, workers and social democrats who are now dominating the Portuguese political landscape after.
That also led the other Portuguese colonies in Africa (Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau) swifter independence.
It was the old Portuguese monarchy who did much of the exploration and colonial activities, starting with Brazil before parts of Africa, Timor Leste, the Indian city of Goa and Macau.
As a Macau citizen I hope Macau will return to Portugal. Our life was so much better than with red China.

Macau is freer now since the handover to China 25 years ago.
Majority are of Chinese (Cantonese) background.

作為澳門人，沒印象。如果你說的是《燦爛的風和海》，劇照裡倒是有龍華酒樓的出現，在澳門算是最後一家舊式茶樓，因為遊客喜歡打卡，所以非常昂貴。
