  • I've had this Mini Snap-On Flashlight for almost 2 years now..., it doesn't hold a charge as well as it used too. Just Received the ICON Mini Light Saber Flashlight. Quite a bit Bigger than the Snap-On.. Seems a Bit Brighter... and I certainly enjoy some of the key differences between the two.

I have that snap on. I'm disappointed in the battery life. I have two. Red and green. I had the older Braun from harbor freight and I really want impressed with that battery either. I got the new Braun octagon shaped lights with 3 brightness settings. I LOVE THE BATTERY LIFE ON THEM! And the magnet. Great video.

Never willing to pay snap on prices for china stuff just not worth it, lighting stuff is all off shore and really had good luck with Astro and GearWrench lights for the money so I would say of the two ICON over SO

Walmart is literally selling the same light I posted it in my last tool haul. Napa has it also for $60 but Walmart is $15. I love USA tools but USA lights just aren’t a common thing so yeah a snap on light is a little crazy but if u like your dealer why not I guess

The Icon is pretty cool. I heard some people take them apart and flip the bigger light to the inside.

Snap On is far too expensive on there updates and subscription fees. That's what opted me out of Snap On scan tools.

Love my snap on light stuck. I'm a diesel guy, and I have a few lights but I always reach for the light stick. Only complaint is the smallest light is dimming a bit after a year and it may have to be sent out soon.

My go to stick light is the Astro 52SL it's a great light and it is only $50 and for another $20 you can get the magnetic wireless charging base that can hold two lights. If you are just talking about the two you have i would get the Braun light over the Snap-on. What does the Snap-on cost like $150. With those cheap Chines lights like the Braun the trick is to buy a quality Samsung, LG, or Sony 18650 battery for $4 and put it in place of the chines battery they come with. It will drastically increase the run time and last much longer.

For the life of me I don't understand why the ICON cell requires soldering but their Braun version doesn't.
Can you easily change the cell in the Snappy JD?
