    Much thinner board than i expected. Interested to see it in practice. Exciting direction though. Well done chessnut!

    It looks great and a great achievement of the CN team, but I have some reservations on:
    - Centering of pieces. For me this is very important (OCD).
    - Reliability of pieces due to dust, hairs etc. getting in the mechanism of the pieces.
    - How will the charging/energizing of the pieces work.
    - The piece movement feeling. How does it feel to set a piece down as there are wheels underneath.

      Regarding the issue of centering the pieces, since the Chessnut Move is equipped with millimeter-level position recognition technology, it is essentially a balance between speed and accuracy. We will provide users with the option to choose their preferred setting through the software. The pieces will be charged by placing them on the included charging pad. As for reliability, we will conduct thorough testing and minimize risks through thoughtful design. Regarding the feel of piece movement, we plan to send out some test units to influencers for reviews in January, and you can check their feedback at that time. We have considered the user experience during the design process, and from my personal perspective, it doesn't differ much from normal chess pieces:)

    The king doesn't knock itself over when in checkmate 0/10. But seriously, my opinion of this will be solidified by solid footage showing how fast the pieces actually move

    I have a square off pro. very similar idea. The novelty wears of quickly and you are left with lags, slow moving pieces (practically 5 seconds per move lost, making it impossible to play a 3+2) and slow resetting pieces. thats actually the main reason I got a chessnut go.

      This is why we are committed to enabling multiple pieces to move simultaneously, making robotic chess practical. We believe that easily setting up positions for analysis is an important feature. Additionally, the ability of each piece to initiate movement instantly minimizes time loss.

    Big Chessnut product's fan. But damn, hate those pieces on wheels. I get that the idea might be more efficient than using magnets to slide the pieces around. But i think the pieces should look more like traditional pieces. The way it is right now i feel is too distracting. Hopefully that mechanism can be concealed inside the piece and not being that extra metallic thing on the bottom.
    To be fair this feels more like an mvp or prototype. Love the idea, i will probably skip the first generation of this.

    Ça a l'air vraiment génial en effet !
    Je me pose tout de même une question : comment faire pour prendre les pièces adverses ? Elles bougent également automatiquement sur le côté ??

    • @Chessnutech
      @Chessnutech  7 часов назад +1

      The logo area on the side of the board serves as a captured piece storage zone. You can manually place your opponent's pieces there as usual, and Move will also detect and recognize any piece placed in that area. When your opponent captures your piece, it will automatically move to the storage zone.

    Looks great. The only thing I don't like is the look of the pieces, with the strange bases. Perhaps other pieces will be available later.

    • @Chessnutech
      @Chessnutech  7 часов назад +1

      The plastic version of the chess pieces offers a more cohesive look, which might be easier for you to accept. Since matching wood colors can be challenging (natural wood often has variations), we used this color for the bases in the wooden piece version.
