Great tips Dave. I am fishing Tunnel Barn for 1st time from Thursday, do you recommend I have casters with pellet as back up. I will be fishing House Pool, High Pool and New Pool. Great content as per usual. Cheers
My local tackle dealer has started vacuum packing casters, What you reckon, Can't find any info on the internet about it, And how long do you think they're last? Good or bad idea.
Do you think that feeding caster creates more competion in your peg?
And what about when the f1's turn up surely nothing else will get a look in?
a 2 0z roach on the canal is ten times smarter than any carp in my view i new this in the early 90s i refused to fish the likes of moorlands cudmore commercial fisheries big ponds farmers created just for the dollar . the reasons these ponds were created was for in winter the river anglers were forced to fish the canals as the rivers were flooding the river anglers disliked getting battered by the canal men when they needed the kamasan points , i did in 94 qualify to the kamassan final which was on gold valley i think the commercial fisheries ruined canal fishing
Dave Brown spends a lot of his time one canals, in fact he's one of the very best canal anglers in the country. But he also spends a good amount of time on commercial fisheries, it's nice to have a balance of both.
@@UKprestoninnovations Thats good but has nothing to do with what iam talking about .every angler has the option to fish where he pleases , what iam saying is these ponds killed the winter canal scene .prehaps one should look at the 90s match results compared to the present on canals
@@barrypeers8665 - Why not give the commercials a go? I'd far rather catch plenty of good stamp fish, enjoy a venue where you're not going to be bothered by the public - or get totally peed off when boat ruins the peg. I was a canal angler in the 80's and 90's but not for me in our modern times.
I would say any vegetable the size of a pea is smarter than you
@@wharfeego the shroppy is fishing exremely well skimmers roach hybrids ,i had 75 pounds plus . in my opinion the skill level is far lower catching carp barbel chub in big ponds .
