I live in Bridgeland in the northeast of Calgary. It's a great city. The summers are unbelievable. Sunny and warm pretty much every day. The winters are definitely cold, but the sun still shines most days so it doesnt feel grey and miserable like a lot of other places in canada. If you like to ski or snowboard it helps get you through the winter since the mountains are only an hour away. Some of the best skiing in North America.

No traffic? You got that all wrong my friend... Traffic is bloody horrible in Calgary. No pollution? You got that wrong too. It's very seldom we'll get a nice clean horizon. Not to mention, British Columbia (province to the West) likes to play with fire, and we get to drown in the smoke.

I've always wanted to visit a major city once. The closest I've seen is San Jose and Seattle but they're not that populous (citywise itself) and don't feel like one. Calgary feels like a big city and it seems beautiful, thinking about visiting it in the future.
Love it! Surprised to not see a shot of the city with the mountains in the background in the whole of the video though! Perhaps it wasn't the right clear day for the shot?
Having lived here for 17 years now, I should also say Calgary is the CLEANEST city I have ever seen, and its not close. the streets and everything is spotless, i feel disgusted going to other cities... even in Canada.
Calgary is clean except for all the disgusting, arrogant, aggressive, menacing, and threatening street bums that have lived in the downtown city center for decades. Only slightly less worse at times than Vancouver's Granville Street or Downtown East Side.
Iv been to Calgary and 1 thing i noticed about the downtown area is that its a ghost town, just like in the shots from 2:59 to 3:30 there is no one walking around in what looks like a large city.
I know you did a great job color correcting this because this is not at all how it feels to live in Calgary. Days are dull, those sunny green days come very rarely. We always have some kind of smoke from forest fires down in BC brushing up which takes away half of our sunny days, the other half are grayish and less so blue skies. We'll get maybe 30 days total of nice sunny clear skies and the rest is like a girlfriend who can't make up her mind followed by winter.
Still ranked between number 1 and 4 as the best city in the world to live depending on the metrics. I guess John's never left Calgary before so he doesn't realize how good we have it here.
