Banning a app doesn't restrict freedom of expression, there are other apps. Just like banning bic pens wouldn't be a restriction on freedom of expression, there are other pens and pencils.
Other platforms are heavily censored. We do not have freedom of expression on Facebook or RUclips or any other platforms except X.

Actually, your analogy is, technically, a violation of the 1st amendment. If you like using Bic pens to create with, and they get banned. It's true that you can create with a different pen. However, as a writer, I can tell you that it's not the same. Banning a Bic pen would take away my freedom to create with what the tools that I want to create with. Which, in turn, takes away my freedom of expression.
Tik tok has filters, effects, etc that other platforms don't have. Banning it would take away a creator's access to those tools.
Imagine if you worked as a handyman for a 50 unit complex and you needed to reshingle every unit, but hammers were just banned because they were made in Sweden. Ok. You have other tools that could do the job: a crowbar, a screwdriver, etc. Would you be willing to use a crowbar to do those roofs? Or would you want the tool that was made for the job, hammer, to be legal for you to have the option to use it when, and if you choose or need to use it?

While TikTok is quite dangerous and well-known for selling all of its user's data and blackmailing people, outright banning it doesn't seem to be the best approach in my opinion.
I think the U.S. should instead set guidelines that all social media platforms must adhere to if they want to function in the U.S. market.
These guidelines should protect user data and protect people from having their private information sold to third-party companies.
Then, if a platform refuses to abide by these terms, that can lead to huge fines and possible sanctions against the company until they comply.
The guidelines, however, must not impede free speech and must not be so overbearing as to make it impossible for the platform to profit.
The guidelines must strictly protect users from having their data sold and eliminate blackmailing.
Now, TikTok, which is controlled by the CCP, will not adhere to these limitations.
So, ultimately, TikTok still gets banned.
However, they would at least have a fair chance, like any other company, to follow the rules.
All platforms should have the same playing field.
But ultimately, the CCP will not let TikTok adhere to such privacy restrictions. (Even if TikTok is willing to.)
So, at least, people could say TikTok had a chance to right the ship.
But the reality is that no matter what, someone else will fill the void. (RUclips, most likely in this case.)
And if TikTok gets banned in the U.S., then the European Union and other countries will likely follow suit. (The EU already has investigations into TikTok and has contemplated banning TikTok itself.)
RUclips shorts, Facebook, Snapchat, instagram all do the same thing as TikTok. Banning it won’t be much of a loss.

Tik Tok didn't accept cause I failed the per-requisit. I don't understand how it works now because you can't understand it unless your on it. It was invented by someone who had a time machine that could travel into the future and use it so that he could understand it and then came back to create it. And if he didn't complete the task the Polaroid of his family photo would have disappeared. it's more complicated than chinese algebra.
