⎊ R.I.P. Tony Stark ⎊
Chaplin is a masterpiece. He deserves the Oscars so bad for that role :(
I hope he wins one soon, him getting snubbed was as irritating as when Andrew Garfield got snubbed for Hacksaw Ridge. I hope he wins one for Oppenheimer as Nolan was blown away by his and Cillian Murphy’s performances.
Thank you for including The Judge. Not only was RDJ phenomenal in the role, it's also a phenomenal film itself. I can't recommend it enough.
Why was his voice so deep🤣 like it got higher
He got older sum guys voices get higher instead of getting deeper when they get older
actually, it's courage
Bc the clips are pitched higher, probably due to copyright
@@maddybeck2508 Yeah Ralph Maccio is a good example of that. He had a deeper voice in Karate Kid than he does in Cobra Kai.
Yeah a teen yet he’s voice sounded like a grown ass man now as an adult he sounds like a teen that’s weird but funny 😆
some of his other roles are SO underrated!
Like In Dreams
So powerful his performances, this guy. RDJ, Tony Stark aka Ironman !!
No doubt he deserves every bit of success he has how he turned things around sheeeesh
I was completely wrong about him
He actually has great range👏👏
Truly a wonderful compilation you put together, thank you.
thank you so much for this, the effort man
ملزبزبباييلويى😇😀😁😄🐶🏡🏠🏥👠💳💰👑
RDJ is amazing he was always good he knows how to study his work and make it work good or bad something certain actors don’t know how to do look at him now He Carried the MCU on his back he won so many awards nobody can take that away from him
He's so good!
Thats deep
Much respect for RDJ to go to solarium to do a movie as a black man.
Him and tom are my favorite actors ❤️
ناميليتيبست😁😇🐶🏥🏡🏠👑👠👕💳
Tom who?
He ain't lyin he Dr Dolittle
I don't recognize that scene from The avengers... When did it take place
He's very talented actor, I hope one day he will be in a great llmovie let hope for his role in "Oppenheimer"
he is such good crier... really pitiful. it has veen years since i have seen less than zero but it seems he put everything he had in that role.
The judge
Is sooo Beautiful AAAA GEORGEUS (๑♡⌓♡๑)❤
gotta remember dr.dolittle
nah lol
Anyone here after the Doom reveal?
🎼🔥💋🔥🎼
🔥💋🔥
🇦🇹💋🔥💋🇦🇹
He had some bad haircuts
It's incredible hearing how Robert Downey jr has a senior voice since the age of 20
RDJ is a very good actor. In fact, there wouldn't be MCU without him. He's the only one who can play Tony Stark. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is the fact that he shows somekind of histrionics ,nervousness or verbiage in most parts of his roles. Even watching his best performances I still see many traits of the actor. Very few actors are able to vanish completely, like Joaquin Phoenix, Gary Oldman, Tom Hanks, Daniel Day Lewis, De Niro, Al Pacino, Brando...(to name some of the best)
i notice little ticks of his in his roles but i feel like it somehow works for him and the characters he plays.
This "kind of histrionics" is just his own way to act and to be a great actor. He's a restless, nervous person, and he always played and plays for the public -- in the courtroom in his youth or in front of the cameras of journalists around the world in his maturity. And he does a great job of using his nature to create completely different characters. Because his Tony Stark still doesn't look or act like his character in the movie The Soloist, his Chaplin isn't like his character in the movie The Judge, and his character (or rather, characters) in Heart and Souls don't look like his Sherlock Holmes. He knows how to be different.
Shia Labeof vanishes to the point where I feel how important this is to him
The scenes chosen for this compilation make it seem like he plays the same character every time, but that's far from true. This isn't the best representation of his career. It's missing some amazing performances that are just not well known. Fur, Wonderboys, Heart & Souls would be worth watching if you are really interested in seeing Downey's range. Tropic Thunder blows my mind every time. He's one of the GOATs, for me.
We all Love Iron man but RDJ is soo much more than that . I hope more people realise that he is an amazing actor outside the MCU .
When I tell people Robert Downey Jr is one of my favorite actors, I point to his acting here when people presume it’s cuz he was Iron Man.
most of his roles have daddy issues which is so funny idk why
it's his own daddy issues manifesting themselves
@@throckmorton9321 literally
how is that funny 😐
@@thenewclassic8944 cause he has a daddy issues
@@ellagrace1534 yeah right daddy issues are funny asf :,))
Thank you for taking the time to put this together !! 👍🏼
you're welcome :) it was my pleasure
this could've been titled: RDJ having daddy issues but channeling it through different roles
on the other side, him being the dad figure to kids having issues e.g. Charlie Bartlet and Peter Parker
4:16 he looks like Tony stark/iron man in the 1990's.
Lmao just him doing the Australian accent in nbk was hilarious 😂😂
You made this video without put any scene from his role in tropic thunder movie....that film is gold tho
Look at the time 16:46.... It has one of the best scenes from that movie
This man has always been a natural actor, even in his beginning bit parts, it is effortless for him, he has magnetic charisma and steals every scene he's in. He can play anything and he never drifts into melodrama, he knows when to restrain his emotions and explode He has this physicality and vulnerability, that most actors do not have. His eyes are a big part of that. He can go from puppy eyes, to extremes in the same scene. He is a master at the craft of acting and his personal struggles and triumphs just add to the fact, he is Ironman. He is the reason for the marvel franchise, if Ironman has tanked there would be no franchise. This is a great compilation.
Probably the best actor of all
He’s definitely one of them
5:36 Mel Gibson looks like Mike Rylance
9:19
fucking masterpiece
i love his ability of mimicry... showcased perfectly in heart & souls. he can copy other actors mannerisms exactly haha
2:52 Flamboyant Al Pacino Shatner activated.
Just looking back on his acting range to see how well he can pull off Dr. Doom.
This is exactly why I'm not mad at him being cast as Dr. Doom.
Thank u
Its crazy to see the contrast between Icon Man 2 and End Game, 22:10 - 35:38
How much Tony got so weak and messed up mentally and physically, its so sad. I've watched all those Marvel movies for like a decade but seeing those side by side is crazy, made me forget those "glory" days when they first started out. I do have an Iron Man Tattoo on my forearm, lol. I still think they did my boy Tony Stark dirty. lmao
👶💌💞💞❤❤
29:14 isn’t that what your supposed to do?
The scenes used for this compilation have a very similar tone and make it seem like Downey plays the same character over and over again. That's far from true. From Less Than Zero, to Chaplin, NBK, Heart & Souls, Restoration, One Night Stand, WonderBoys, Fur, and Tropic Thunder, he has given many deeply nuanced and varied performances. Always the best part of anything he's in. One of the 🐐 👏👏👏
to be honest it was a long difficult process to go through his notable movies (and i didnt even include all of them) and choose the 'right' scene. i actually had to watch a lot of these movies for the first time to make this. i could've chosen some better scenes in retrospect but i tried my best
He was the best in Oppenheimer
💋💋💋🔥💋💋💋
😁😁😁
I'm sorry but the MCU movies don't really count as cinema. Some of them are good but Endgame is trash and by far his worst performance. I see this video was made by kids
thanks for the input but unfortunately you are not the one who determines what is and isn't cinema, and a robert downey jr. acting compilation would be incomplete without his work as tony stark. endgame was not a good movie imo but i think he did a great job at showing a broken and beaten tony stark. also, i'm not a kid :) happy holidays
I've never understood that argument. What do you mean it's not cinema? They're movies and they play in theaters. Can you enlighten me?
how is it not counted as cinema??? a movie is a movie, isn’t it?
it is cinema as its still a freaking movie and one of the most famous of all time and endgame has an 8.4 imdb rating and a 94% rotten tomatoes score with a 90% audience score so ur commento comment is completly obsolete
Actually roberts best performance is in endgame
