    I worked for green and white taxi in St Paul and You would have fit right in haha it is flat out unbelievable what the crown vic can take for beatings and misuse! As a daily beater only the dent-side fords and jeep cherokees are in the same realm!! Unless you have a 2.3 5 speed ranger😈

    Do you think the tire size that used for the rims could be used on a crown Vic without the 3 inch lift? They look very close, I am getting the 3 inch lift but it will be a while before I can install the lift, I do also plan on removing the front and rear bumper (covers/bumper) for the cool look of the black inner protective bumper frames for a more mad max look and to eliminate the need to trim any need to make space all together. Do you think those rims will fit height wise under the fenders and with the bits towards the doors?

      They would be close for sure. Mine rubs just a little on the rear of the front wheel wells with the lift.

      @@EvanWells07 okay I’ll have to mock it up and just see, I am prepared to hammer in any of the wheel wells if necessary, main thing is if it would fit height wise towards the upper fender well witch if I really have to I’ll cut it and get some fender well skirt covers or whatever they are called

      @Synix_Games yeah that Idk. I waited to put them on until the lift was on, so I'm not sure. They aren't the biggest tires I could fit, so there is a chance they would work.

      Thanks! The tires are 235/70R16. I wanted something larger than stock (obviously) but not huge, and something that is readily available should I have an issue on a trip or something. These checked all the boxes for me.

    The video you done ok if you support the rear of the car you're very luck the car did not fall of the lift. You should keep in mind that shift in balance will make what's on the lift dangerous.

      I'm not sure I follow on supporting the rear of the car? If I was removing a substantial amount of weight, or rocking it a bunch then sure, but I just removed springs. I appreciate your concern for sure and thanks for watching!

      If yours is a strut car, they make spacers for them. That way your not trying to make something else work.

      I got them for a 4x4, I'm not sure if it's that much of a difference. They are just stock replacement shocks, not lifted ones.

      I never did with mine. It's "ok" but different gearing would probably be better. Depends on how far you want to get into it. I would say do the lift and tires, and see how it works. If you need more pep, then do the gears.

      Yes I got it very close, just put slightly on camber, but nothing I can't live with. We have an alignment machine at our shop.

      You could run 245's that was what I was originally planning on running. I decided on 235's instead because it was easier and I didn't want to mess with any rubbing.

      No. I still have the stock control arms and ball joints, and never touched the driveshaft.

      Spacer on the back shocks? I put f150 shocks in the rear, and stock shocks in the front. No spacers.

      They are just universal 3/8" 5 lug spacers. They are not the "adapter type" spacers that have studs and make each wheel have 10 lug nuts (I can't stand those). I found them on eBay if I remember right.

      Oh, sorry I got you. I picked them up on eBay. They are 3" cup spacers. Not any name brand or anything (like the lift-a-brand ones).

    How much do you think it would cost me to have a shop put a 3-inch lift on my 2011 CVPI?

      I'm not 100% sure. It would be R&R on the front struts, rear coils, and rear shocks at the minimum. Using an average of $100 an hour at probably 2.5 hrs for the front and maybe 1.5 on the rear labor time... Around $400ish in just labor. Again this is all a guess without looking up actual labor times. Then you will also need an alignment after, so thats probably around another 100ish?

      Everything is great! Only issue I had was the upper control arms hitting the frame, but once the springs settled in, that stopped. It rides pretty much the same as factory, and have loaded it down with the whole family + camping gear and went out with zero issue.

      To lift it you would probably need to convert over to coil springs in the rear. Unless you wanted to fabricate a mount to use the air bag with a lift cup. I don't think anyone makes a lift to use with the stock air bag.

      On the older ones (like mine) yes. I think it was 03 or 04 they went to the cross member that is popular for swaps these days and they used struts.

      Depends on the temp. These were in the shop for a few days, so they were at 70 some degrees.

      No fender cutting. I did have some really slight rubbing on the front inner fenders, so I hated up the plastic and pushed it back, and put some 1/4" spacers on the wheels to get them out away from the inner fenders.

      Nah it's usable as is. I daily drive it, plus go have fun with it. I take it camping and fishing, and it gets me in and out of where I need to go.

      @@EvanWells07 ok, so not up the street from Florida lol. My air suspension went on my Mercury and I replaced it with suncore bags etc. Tight space for sure.
      When it gets cooler out here I think I want to just replace them for good with shocks and springs. I’m a watch a RUclips video and fix it yourself kinda guy and obviously if some jobs are too tough I’ll bring it to a shop. What shocks and springs would you recommend ? I’m want to purchase some good ones. Can I just do the back or do I need to change things out upfront too? After watching your video I think I’m spraying my steelies!

    i had 3'' cups put on my 02 it bounce like hell and when i hit a bump it bounce even more couldn't even drive on back road car about to bounce off the road smh i might need to bring it to u to get me right i might need new shocks but i order the cups and shocks off lift a brand smh end up taking them off becuz they bounce soooooo bad

      I read online that the lift a brand shocks were junk. I used Monroe on mine.

    Did the spacer for the front go on the top or bottom

      Good question. It goes on the top. The lower control arm is specifically shaped to accept the end of the coil. The top of the coil is flat so the cup sits flush on it. Hope that helps!

      Thanks! Just make sure the spring cup sits in the hole correctly inside the frame. There are little "fingers" that hold the spring in place up there that the cup needs to sit on for it to all fit right.

      The wheels are stock steelies that came on the car, the tires are 235/70R16.
