The Hooligans felt (to me) like while he was in the front, he very much was influenced by the rest of the members and they brought him to where he is. They were in the background but it was obvious they were still heavy in his success. Not in the sense that he took advantage, but rather those are genuinely his people. I think overall, he has always been sincerely into "Black" music but because of him not being Black (which he can't help) he never really got that acceptance so to many it always looked like he was "trynna be down" lol. We never REALLY let him in, he is still a guest. Understandably so, but I don't look at him like I do with Justin Timberlake. Combine that with the record label and they packaged Bruno as something else. Also, he definitely wasn't singing in Bubble Butt lol. I think he plays it safe generally, but he def would have risked it all for Cardi lol.
