    • @phantomsplit3491
      @phantomsplit3491 Год назад +1

      The plaintiffs filed a civil suit against Jones, claiming that he defamed them and their loved ones who died in the massacre by repeatedly making reckless claims that Sandy Hook was a hoax, even after he knew it was not. Jones chose to take the suit to court as is his right. With that comes the discovery process, where both sides must turn over evidence to the other so that a just outcome can be reached.
      Jones refused to comply with discovery for 4 years. He was warned, he was fined, he was warned again. He was explicitly warned that if he did not turn over the required documents, a default judgement would be entered against him. Jones still did not comply, and the court stayed true to their word.

    • @phantomsplit3491
      @phantomsplit3491 Год назад

      At the beginning of the trial it was discussed how Jones still has not turned over the data, even after the default judgement. Notably Google Analytics which would be used to determine how much his companies grew as a result of his Sandy Hook coverage. First Jones said they didn't have Analytics data, so they couldn't turn it over. Then it was discovered that they did have the data, but Jones claimed they never actually used it so he felt it was unfair for him to turn it over (in violation of court orders). Then internal InfoWars emails showed that not only did they have the data, but they'd been using it for years to gauge company growth. Jones is still violating discovery orders to this day, and as a result it complicates the ability to see how much he profited from his lies that hurt others

    • @nicholaswoollhead6830
      @nicholaswoollhead6830 Год назад

      During the phase of the trial where they were determining guilt, Jones repeatedly refused to hand over documents that he was legally obliged to hand over. The conclusion is, that he doesnt want to conply because he knows it will result in a guilty verdict, so he got the guilty verdict that he deserved. This phase is about his income, to determine how much money he made off his Sandy Hook lies, so that money can be returned to his victims.
