  • How to make the house Elf Dobby from the Harry Potter movies. For this I used modelling paste / gum paste but you could also use polymer clay / fimo if it doesn't need to be edible.

Zoe, do you leave the head or body to dry a bit before puting them together? I tried your dobby from harry Potter but when i Put the head it started to press the Neck and body and the neck simply vanished while the head became a bit too round because it didnt keep its shape. I used the fondant we have in Brazil.
    😘

You could try using modelling paste / gum paste. Or even mix some tylose powder into your fondant to make it a bit firmer. Thanks for watching!

I'm sure you won't see this being the video was posted 3 yrs ago (recommended b/c I watch your videos nearly nightly before bed) but I have to ask: What are the major differences in sculpting with edible materials and clay? I'm a beginner self-taught clay sculpture (1 yr) and watching your videos always makes me wonder if I can replicate your work. I recall seeing a photo of you online sculpting a horse or something similar in front of a window while I was searching for images of your incredible art work to show my Mom. It looked like standard monster clay or sculpture clay as did the set up.
Anyway, your talent is endless as is your generosity and beauty, inside and out. He turned out perfect! 😁

Too bad that here in Germany near my place of residence there are no courses where you can learn, I would be a lot of fun. Is there a video with figures from the jungle book Mogli, Balu, Bagira etc?
