  • We were having trouble with our dishwasher stopping after a few minutes with A-5 on the display and emptying again. I found some other posts that pointed to it being a problem with the pressure switch pipe being blocked.

I own an indesit dishwasher, had a similar issue (error A5), after checking the pump, the valve, flood sensor i came across your video and i gave it a try. I guess we're not buying a new dishwasher yet!! Thank you :D

Just gave this a go with our Hotpoint dishwasher and it worked! So I must thank you for posting this video because everywhere else seems to say that the F05 error we were having was a clogged pump or just needed the filters cleaning which we managed to rule out as the source. Saved the cost of a new dishwasher, video gets a thumbs up!

Glad I helped you out. Since I unblocked ours it has continued to work faultlessly ever since.

Strangely yours is the only clip that actually talks about error 05 on a hotpoint dishwasher , could only find the code for washer machine's. Actually heard something unblock when I blew down the pipe , working for now , thanks 👍

Hi! Thanks for the video. It helped a lot in the process of removing the reddish-round-thingy (in every other video I checked it was already removed and didn't show how). All of these machines are similar but different to open. Still didn't find any video on how to open mine (Model LDF 12314) and it has some devilish-placed spots for screws (managed to break one of the plastic holders in the process :-P ). OTOH it has a very easy removable top-cover that I only figured out in middle of the procedure.
Anyway, the reason of this is to thank for showing how to place/remove the reddish-round-pressurevalve. One last note: the best way to remove it is to squeeze the plastic "wings" on the bottom of that round reddish pressurevalve. Squeeze and push in to remove it from the white plastic frame. (you can't see the hole in the video, it's on the very bottom). Cheers!

I had to rewatch my own video to fix the dish washer, A5 error again. It gave my now 14 year old daughter a laugh.

I have a Hotpoint LTF 8B019 C that comes on, water comes in then it drains itself, I hear a noise like a pump or something and then get a flashing 5 on my display.

Just saw your reply pop up, it's dead easy to fix once you know why it is happening. The hardest part is getting the panels off the dish washer. It hasn't done it again since posting this video.

@@misteryreviewer1426 you are 100% right. Past week it was getting worse day by day. I just fixed it. Was mostly a hassle to get dishwasher out of its spot in my tiny kitchen. It now has run twice without any problems. Thanks a lot!
