My chandelier was taken down recently. I first removed all the crystals. It can weigh a lot more than the frame of the light. At that time, I was able to clean it too.
Hi. Thank you for the video. I recently purchased a beautiful chandelier and it’s 12 pound. I already have an old chandelier but wanted to change to this new one. Do I need a bracket like yours ?? How do I know how heavy was the previous one? Thank you Hugo
SO, are you sure this bracket would stay up there in a 6.7 earthquake? It looks like it would fall out when the joists started flexing. I am looking at hanging a 60 lb plus Alabaster chandelier. I don't want it to kill someone.... like me.
It is tested for heavier weight but a 60 pound chandelier should be fine even with seismic activity. Test the bracket with a traveling scale and your pressure just like when you lift bags for weight before you go to the airport
@Janga Lang Have you ever been in a earthquake? They happen in about 10 to 15 seconds and don't ask you if you are ready. No, you could very well be under the chandelier. Even if you were not, someone else might be. Even if you and all your friends are not under the chandelier when the quake hits, it could fall and destroy the chandelier and whatever was under it. So, when you put things up there it should be done in a way that makes sure it will stay up there. Jim
Iv hung and helped hang many giant heavy fixtures off an 16 and 20ft ladder this light is not very big nor is it very high its a real snor as for lifting the light it takes 2 good men and one on top of the ladder to screw it to the box
The trickiest part of this project of mounting the full weight of the light fixture to the ceiling (Video time 6 Min and 10 Sec), Hugo completely skips over this procedure. What a disappointment.
excellent , easy to follow description on how to do this. Thank you.
Richard Rashty my pleasure, I wish you the best with your project
the most difficult part you did not show how to get it up, hold it up and wire at the ceiling...
Louis Sanchez have someone holding the lamp for you, he was holding the phone while making the video
yeah this video sucked. they got lazy at the end 👎👎👎
Mr Hot Dog Guru,, show it Please ??
The only reason I watched the video is to know how to lift up the light. These stupid people skipped that important step.

Thank you so much for this. Just moved into a new build only to find overhead lighting is far too harsh. This is perfect.
I'm glad I can help you
I Like The Frosted Light Bulbs More
They are beautiful
I’ve had a 100 lb bronze chandelier in the foyer connected to a lift for almost 20 years. It’s still going strong.
That's amazing! Can you share some information on how your chandelier looks like? I'm very interested right now!
the previous one looked better than newer one
So sad!
Wow! Beautiful!
Adrienne Romelle thank you Adrienne
mine is a 160 pounds heavy ,, how do I install it?

Using a luggage weight reader is the best way of finding how heavy it is
Hello do you know the name or style of this chandelier?
I wish I knew but the customer had it at his house already without packaging
my light fixture is 35 lbs, do you think I need a brace like that? or will the brace that comes with the fixture is enough?
DrClitz you better use one of these boxes
Why you didn’t show attached to bracket?
Good job...thanks.
U didn't shows us how u connected the chain
The chain is hooked on the upper brace, make sure that box is well secured. Thank you for watching my videos.

@@HugoCorrea, I have made some measurements and it looks like the chandelier is 86 lbs.
At that moment you should be out of the house
