If you're going to unravel the scriptures using a Bible written in the English language. Make sure you're unraveling the right version of the scriptures written in English and not some per-version.

In a book by John Lawsonfrom circa 1700's, when they came to the new world, the chiefs were 4 to 6 cubits compared to a normal man at 2 cubits tall. And there's the story of the giant in the ship that drank all the barrels of water and ate all the food on board. Then there were a mutiny. What really caused it? Did they find out what was on board and didn't want it there? Like the last voyage of the demeter?🤔
regular man is not 2 cubits tall. you must be thinking meters. A cubit is the length of a forearm, typically around 18 inches. 4 cubits is normal human size. so your quote there references chiefs being from 6ft to 9ft tall.

One may have noticed that the narrator does not use only the Bible as the source of information about the history of the Israelites but other sources of information like the Jewish scriptures etc. This is not strange as the Apostle were sometimes quoting from the book of Enoch which is not part of the Bible. It takes humility to appreciate the works done by others without asking for monetary contribution. Being a true follower of Christ requires a humble spirit and wisdom rather than being a critic or vindictive.
The book of Enoch was not included , because too many Hebrew interpretation thot he related too many things to Christ,the Jews apparently despise The Christ

He is 1.5 times the height of Goliath. He makes Goliath look like a dwarf. If we shrink down Goliath's height to a standard 6 foot tall person, then Og would be 9 foot tall, the height of Robert Wadlow. It would be similar to Robert Wadlow side by side with his father who was 5 foot 11.

I believe that the Nephilim and Rephaim are two distinct entities, and there is no reason to think you can infer information about one from the other. If they were identical, they would have shared the same name.

We don't know Og's height. the square cube law is going to work severely against him over 8/9 ft tall. Like the description of Goliath height in the dead sea scrolls and Septuagint as 4 cubits and a span 7/8 ft, Og was probably about the same.
According to Josephus, giants were to be measured using the Royal Egyptian cubit, which Is bigger than the normal cubit. So he (Moses) and the Exodus Israelites no doubt used the Egyptian royal cubit in their measurements..
@@sekani-M Yes that's correct. 6 royal cubits and a span brings Goliath to approx 10+ ft. This then brings the square cube law into effect. Unless there's some compelling argument that the square cube law wouldn't effect him. Then this height is going to have dire consequences for the big fellow.
The other problem are the earlier translations in the Septuagint and dead sea scrolls that have him at 4 cubits and a span. This puts him under the problematic area's of the square cube law. This still makes him a very apposing proposition. Just think of André the giant [there's discrepancies in his height] 6ft9 to 7ft4. I think Andre was probably close to the maximum a human could get with his proportions before health issues come in and take effect.
I think this is more practically the likely height of Gog.

Do to him what you did to Sihon King of the Amorites ,who reigned in Heshbon" So they struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army, leaving them no survivors. And they took possession of his land....This is the truth of what happened to King Og in the Book of Numbers, outher things you hear about him are just stories, But if you are one who searches out the truth. You can read it for yourself, in the Book of Numbers 21 :32 to 35

Read Genesis, chapter six, and then break out your Strong's Concordance. You will learn I am correct - with no speculation needed. Ancient Hebrew scholars also believed the same.

Moses wasn’t scared of OG himself, he was scared that in the merit of OG Helping Avraham rescue his nephew Lot, many years before, G-D would help OG in the in the war against Israel. OG the King of Bashan was not a "creature", but rather a very tall and big human, like the rest of us, was also created by God, in His own image and likeness. The same is true with other "Giant" people that Moses and the Israelite Army had to face, along with other giant people of different bloodlines and ancestory. There were also Canaanite people that were very big people that stood over 15' tall. And don't forget Goliath, the Philistine, he was a Giant man that King David killed with a sling stone. Archeologists have in fact exhumed ancient gravesites and found remains of giant people buried with giant spears, swords, and shields, along with other weapons in these graves, dating to about the early to mid Bronze Period. These people likely stood in excess of 16 feet tall and had to have weighed about one Metric Ton or more when they were alive. It's a fascinating story, about this Og of Bashan. I find it impossible really to reconcile the Biblical Og, 13 ft or so tall, with the huge Titan Og who survived the flood of Noah. They seem to be obviously two different characters. And the book of Jasher which agrees with Holy Scripture 100 % in general, has the huge mountainous giant Og finally killed by Moses himself, in a great battle with God's help.
