    CORRECTION: This rear tire is actually labeled as a 40 on the tire.

      Hi Dale! Are you still happy with a 40c at the back after many kms? Isn't it too wide when it's muddy for example? thanks!!

    • @daledubose3032
      @daledubose3032  2 года назад +2

      @@mathofmi2 I am happy with the 40mm rear and 45mm front. The 40 has plenty of space. I've never had an issue with it but I don't ride in much mud. I think it would be fine but I try to avoid mud.
      I also now have a separate set of wheels dedicated to road.

    Hey! Thanks for the great content, very informative :) Just wondering if you have had some long rides with it (80-120 km), and if it felt comfortable? Really considering to buy this bike soon! Thanks a lot!

    • @daledubose3032
      @daledubose3032  3 месяца назад +1

      I have ridden 80-120k and it handles it well. I mostly just ride road with it now with a set of Zipp wheels and 30mm tires. I typically just do 1.5-2 hour rides, but the bike works well on longer rides if I'm up to it.

    Hi, thanks for the video. I realise this was posted almost a year ago but I was wondering if you’d be able to answer a question about the bike for me? I’m actually looking to buy an Inflite for similar riding to you (road and gravel but not cyclocross) and I’d say I do 80-90% road. I was thinking the Inflite could be quite versatile with just a change of tyres to cover both road and gravel riding. I guess my two questions are: (1) with it being 1x hearing does the speed top out on the road? And (2) how is the position on the bike for road riding? Ie is it very upright/not aerodynamic enough for fast road riding? Thanks in advance!

    • @daledubose3032
      @daledubose3032  2 года назад +5

      It works great as a road bike. The position is similar to an endurance road bike. I ride quite often with the local road group and do a lot of road riding by myself. I keep up with the group rides well. I can do 40-50 miles at 19.5-20mph average in a group easy. I've never run out of speed other than on steep downhills, but the roadies run out too. It's pretty flat for the most part where I live. I can not max the speed out on flat ground. I love it for a road bike. I have 3 sets of tires, 45/40, 32s, and 28s. Last night I road with the roadies for 30 miles on my 45/40 averaging 18.4mph. I plan to get a dedicated set of road wheels this spring to put the 28s on. Maybe in another year or so I may get an aero road bike but until then I'm quite happy with my inflite.

    Hi, I'm also interested in this bike. I'm looking for a bike to use it for both, long gravel rides and maybe some cyclocross races during winter. Does the cyclocross position and geometry bother you on long rides? Pls let me know, thanks

    • @daledubose3032
      @daledubose3032  3 года назад +3

      The longest ride I've done so far was 40 miles on the road. The most time spent was about 4 hours on a gravel ride. I was comfortable both times. I've only had the bike 2 weeks now but plan to do much longer rides. The geometry is similar to an endurance road bike. I highly recommend this bike, I'm loving it.
