This is another amazing ride and it is all uphill. Way to go. One way to keep fit. The ground cover (bushes and shrubs) is completely different than the journey from Finse to the turn off prior to Myrdal and down to Flam. 👍👍👍. 9-25-2023
well, it's incredibly lush for the first few kilometres, Haugastøl is 1000 meters above sea level, so technically this is above the tree line, so good microclimate. One of the few trips I've cycled without wind on Hardangervidda.
So much snow on the mountain tops, does it ever all melt off? Breathtaking scenery, so much different than seeing it from the trains perspective. And them sheep... Walking the roads and hanging out under bridges... Good thing they have bells on. LOL Thanks for including us on another ride.
Thank you for the excellent video. What a delight!! Nice to have another perspective of this part of the Rallarvegen. Who maintains the road? Most of it is in very nice shape.
Such a relaxing video. The scenery is beautiful! Thanks so much for posting these wonderful videos. One question: at 17:06 there is a well-traveled road to the left. Do you know where that goes? Thanks again! Dave in California
Beautiful Video and I was tearing up when you arrived to Finse and I thank you for this video.

If you refer to the snow on the other side of Finse lake that is a glacier, Hardangerjøkulen
Glaciers melt a bit every summer, but are refilled from the top every winter
Beautiful! Thank you for the railroad information and the look around Finse.
thx for watching
Gorgeous day. Thanks for taking us along with you. Is that bike rentals in Finse?
Yes there is bike rental at Finse and also Haugastøl and Flåm.
Goooood

BaneNor is the owner of the navvy road, regarding maintenance I do assume that they use private contractors.

I think it leads to an installation for hydroelectric power plant.
Very nice IMH this was a beautiful day you had.
Perhaps you need a police siren to warn slower cyclists or your presence?
Amtrak horn sound would be nice ;)
Hello, is it safe to park the car alone in Haugestøl for 2 nights?
With all or vacation stuff in 😀
I do believe it is safe to park your car at Haugastøl
