That, right after he spent 1:17 cracking jokes about that poor girl who got murdered by her boyfriend. Wtf dinkus? People are going to think less of you for this. I certainly do and I'm telling you. Other people won't.
Can you do a Norm-Spade “Tales From the Road” series? We loved him… so fearless and authentic (he had a kindness about him that is hard to describe). I wish he knew the fan base and support he had…

I love Dicky and Dirt, but your Weekend Update was better than Miller’s, on par with Neelon, almost as great as Norm, and miles above Chevy or any of the duos. I do like Che and Jost, though. They’re something new, and that takes nothing away from you. Keep rockin, David.
I don't recall Spade ever doing Weekend Update. It went Miller, Nealon, MacDonald, Quinn, Fallon/Fey...etc. Spade would do a segment of it called 'Hollywood Minute' (which was always gold!) but never anchored.
I really needed to hear ( thank you) some sassssyness about the horrible Gabby story. So much love to her family..... Also, Norm was the most attractive SNL weekend update face of ALL time!

I didn't come to appreciate the true genius of Norm until the last few years. I am 58 and first saw SNL during the Belushi/Akroyd/Murray, etc days and tuned out for the most part after those players left. I know I missed out on a lot of the greats that came later.
@@coryburns9161 Gilda, Dan, Garrett, Laraine, Lorne, Schiller liked Chevy. Jane thought he was rather boorish and John was incredibly jealous of him. All in all that's a well-liked guy at work. John knew Bill had a crush on Jane so he got him worked up that Chevy had been disrespectful to Jane, when he hadn't any more than John had. As a result Chevy and Bill got into a physical fight, with John in the middle, and then forgave each other and play golf together. Dave's said he's never had a problem with Chevy. Norm loved Chevy.
