    THANK YOU! for explaining the complex concepts with such a ease. Loved the the way you explain complex concept in such a simple way. Could you please add another video about types of Peerings - Azure private, Azure public and Microsoft? As it will complete the whole Express route concept. Thanks for such a good content.

    Excellent video! Would have been even more exhaustive if you talked about how exactly the provider connects with the Microsoft Backbone infrastructure and also about the three types of Peerings - Azure private, Azure public and Microsoft. However, a great video that helps to understand each and every concept in ExpresRoute.

    Thanks for the video. I have only one question, how come is not via internet when Express Route operates in layer 3 on OSI Model?

    • @ragacbe
      @ragacbe Год назад

      Well, you could consider it a form of a leased line. A dedicated line established just between the two networks. Just the terms are different - if the established line is between two on-premise networks, then it is called leased line; if the established connection is between an Azure VNet and in on-premise network, then the process of setting up of such a line is slightly different as explained in this video and also it is called ExpressRoute. Hope it makes sense.

    Thanks for the session. One query here..While VPN Gateway creation we have an option to select gateway type either VPN or ExpressRoute..As in this video you havn't showed us creation of VPN Gateway..I wanna know what gateway type have you selected for ExpressRoute Circuit Demo. Is it ExpressRoute or VPN? If VPN, what will be the case where we will need to select ExpressRoute.

    • @ragacbe
      @ragacbe Год назад +2

      There is some clarity that you need in here I guess. The service in Azure that lets us create either VPN or ExpressRoute is 'Virtual Network Gateway'. While you are into the first step in creating virtual network gateway service, you get asked the gateway type - VPN or ExpressRoute. If you choose VPN, then you are going to create VPN gateway; if you choose ExpressRoute, then you are going to create ExpressRoute. Hope it makes sense.

      If we have to patch Google cloud platform windows server via MECM aka SCCM then interconnect will come into picture because I don't want my gcp server to go over internet to download the patch. Correct. We need to create the vpn boundary in SCCM and configure that vpn to interconnect.
