I’m a guy and I salute you for what you do. There needs to be more women working on auto mobiles. I wouldn’t really call it a male’s field it’s just something more guys do out there. What I’m saying is that anyone is qualified to build skills on anything. 😊👍
True. But just because anybody can do it doesn't mean we should be pushing people towards it. They pushed more women towards STEM degrees, and although they did great and became skilled engineers, The girls I graduated with ultimately chose other career path because they were unfulfilled
I'm in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is definitely a woman after my own heart. I've done the same for other women in my community. Nothing is more empowering than going to the junkyard for part's with a group of gals for an alternator on a 02 Chrysler Minivan. Something else that's proven is men often overcharge women customer's for parts, and labor. Having a woman technician is always a plus.
I don't know about that. I've worked with some female techs that are just as cunning if not more than men. Important thing here is to find a trustworthy mechanic
@@allyrene359 there's a lot of sexist men out there who think women can't do these jobs. My next door neighbor she is a car mechanic and she knows everything there is to know about cars. She can take an engine apart and put it back together. Men need to realize there are women out there that are car mechanics, construction workers or firefighters and that's only going to increase. Some of these men need to show these women some respect
I told my husband that I want to become a mechanic, so that I can work on my own cars. I feel like majority of these mechanic shops trying to rip us off.
I came across your channel and I believe you are such an inspiration to women. You are full of confidence, charming and an intelligent woman. I may learn a thing or two from your videos, im in awe of what you've achieved atb Taff 🤠👊
I just showed your video to my female friend and try to encourage her to do some of the simple things that they’ve been trying to overcharge her for at the shops. Normally I’m not available to her to do these type of simple things but through RUclips videos and just a simple oh, wanting to know she can actually do these jobs herself. She has a chance just solenoid on her 2013 Chevy Malibu above the oil filter. I’m telling her it’s a simple job but she’s looking at me crazy lol.
The simple answer to that is nothing. Because literally anybody with working limbs and a functioning brain can use a wrench to loosen or tighten a bolt. What's between your legs has absolutely no relevance. Add only 156 lb and 5 ft 4, I'm a petite woman that also does the shit pretty routinely.
Absolutely. Women can do anything we can. Just don't be prideful. When I was a tech there was a girl too prideful to ask for help when removing a transmission. She ended up dropping it... On the floor.$3k mistake. A good tech always asks for help. Male or female
I love how she’s showing a group of women how to do fix cars lol. imagine it would be sexist and considered “‘mansplaining” for a man to tell a woman how to do something. You know, rather than just look at it as the Teacher and Student. Good on you for choosing to do what you want to do, just let of go of the gender hang ups and go for it.
I worked years unpaid to learn. Got some schooling and i do it for free to help people who cant afford the repairs lol i get paid with hugs and friendships lol??while i work other trades for income and experience lol. Fck politics, im glad to see passion.
Ms. Tamara, I have an 03 Accord V6 with 190k miles. It started jerk last week. I’ve changed the trans fluid, sensors, plugs, coils. It’s still the same thing. I can only drive 20mph. I was told it’s the switch solenoid and lock up solenoid. It this true? Please help.
Can I join??!!! I’m In Houston and I wanna challenge the stereotype. I do so much of my own car work and I’m tired of having to negotiate prices just because I know what’s going on
I been a tech since 2005 and the best advice i can give you is to visit your local community college, believe me you will get the best training there , and yes it will take you at least 4 years. And no , no one cares ic you are a female or male as long as you know your shit, techs get paid for every job they do not hourly
I was a tech. Anybody can do this male or female. The reason I discourage people from going into the field is the pay. You do a lot, you work hard and you're the lowest paid and most overworked. Went back to school and got an engineering degree instead. Much happier
So each second a woman does what men have been doing for decades, *it gets a new name like women empowerment?* This is a freak show I don't car what any bs rants..
To be so honest, I really don't understand what the fuss is all about. Male or female, anybody with working limbs and a functioning brain can turn a wrench to loosen or tighten a bolt...
I'm not sure why this should be strictly a "man's job" when literally anybody with working limbs and a functioning brain can use a wrench to loosen or tighten a bolt. Lol
@@jrudymorganclark2072 Definitely not the case. Women all over the globe have careers and occupations working with things just as much as men do. And there are just as much men with occupations that involve working with people. I don't think gender has anything to do with weather you prefer people or things. And when it comes to servicing motor vehicles, you're pretty much working with both.
Great job. I finally get to see a woman who is bold enough to do what I have been too scared to do. Can you give me your email so l can be able to get some information from you?
I'm a female mechanic too! Great to see you dominating this field and showing other women how to step up and challenge intimidation with knowledge 💪
Do you ever work on RV's?
Oh, It´s so sad you don´t publish your videos working, it would be so interesting to see.
@@kiyoma3177 I've never thought about doing that! It's waaay too busy at the shop to take the time to film tho haha

" it’s just something more guys do out there" that's why it's called a male dominated field
Im a diesel mechanic and I look up to women like this!
I love how she's teaching her customers. Most mechanics won't let you know nor see that they're ripping you off. I think I could trust her.

Wew I admire you for empowering woman.. and you also inspired me that's why I said to myself don't give up self just push 💪
