I mean, sure but only if you ignore population distribution. A grand total of 10-12% of the worlds population lives in the southern hemisphere. And of these 10-12% many are not in the market for a 120 dollar Versace summer fragrance. I like wearing Terre d'Hermes Eau Givre in particular hot and humid weather, so theres a chance this citrus bomb works really well in those type of climates. But if you asume the sales in the developing world are gonna make up for launching this out of season for the global north, you are ... adventurously optimistic.
I can’t tell you how well this layers with both Sauvage and Explorer. If you layer with Explorer, put Eros on first. If you layer with Sauvage, put Sauvage on first. Each combo just pops. Awesome stuff. I’m wearing Energy/Explorer tonight and this combo does well in the heat.
I sprayed this one once today at Sephora. One spray on the neck. 8 hours later it’s still coming off my skin. I can say the performance is super solid. This does smell like Aventus. May not be as exactly as the Aventus DNA. But it really does smell like it. And it’s potent as heck
I dont understand why everyone is upset that it has similarities to Aventuse? Yes, Aventus is overplayed (in the clone market, not the designer market for the average person), but I feel like everyone is talking about Aventus as if it is a $100 fragrance. Aventus is a $500 fragrance! Nobody in their right mind will say: " this smells like aventus, so I will buy aventus instead." Unless they completely dont care about the budget. Here, I am talking about the regular person, not the fragrance enthusiast.
It’s upsetting because there have been so many Aventus clones already, what’s the point of Versace releasing this (and in Autumn)? It could have been great but it’s just ok. Disappointing 5/10 for me.
I finally put my nose on it and it smells like CDIM Parfum. I’ll stick with my CDIM Limited, Afnan Supremacy NOI, Montblanc Explorer and Hawas Resasi Black 😂
Fragrance colleague here: I already have sold several bottles of Eros Energy for those who are looking for a first cologne or or those who have 2-5 and want something bright for the summer/new daily, so I can definitely see this being loved by a casual crowd (what Versace usually caters to) but not for those deep in the game

I just bought it today and to my nose, at first, it smells like really zesty orange soda or Merinda! Then it opens up slowly to a sweet punchy musky fragrance! I like it.
Mont Blanc Explorer is also an EDP fragrance. Also, for me (since I live in Florida), I think that the release date is irrelevant since it's Spring & Summer in Florida 24/7 😅.

I was checking Marshals next door for some cheap treasure, as last week I picked up a 200ml bottle of TDH Eau Giveree for $85 bucks 😍 Yeah this comes off Adventusy right off the jump, but more a smoother version of CDIM. Operable word, smooth. But CDIM limited is smooth annnd lasts a looooong time. Not as bright with the citruses though. But I’ve layered TDH Eau Giveree over my CDIM limited and upped the ante on the citrus and it works GREAT! I will get Eros when that price drops.
When i tried this at Macy's the opening caught me so off guard. I knew the opening would be citrusy but i didn't expect it to be that citrusy and sour.
Super Lemon!!!!!!!!!!! It smells like Lemon from top to bottom. Lasts a couple of hours as do most Citrus based fragarances. And you are correct - a lemon citrus bomb. THIS IS NOT AVENTUS! I see very little if any resemblance. This is a summer monster fragrance. EROS rocks, keep up the great work with all the flankers. Flame is still the best. Thank you for all your great work Ash!
It is quite close to aventus cologne. Just with a lemon drop opening. I don’t know how anyone could say it’s not very similar to aventus cologne. Not the og aventus.
i have it & i like it alot , after around 15 min i get more of the spicey & woody notes along with the lemon smell .these type of fragrances work well in my line of work & lifestyle. im with you on the cap it just kinda sits on top no click into place of no kind i thought it was just my bottle
I'm underwhelmed with Versace's US launch timing. Having waited since Spring, the arrival of this edition to the Eros collection just prior to Fall has reduced my excitement. As a result, I'll probably delay my purchase until next year, opting for a discounted price to wear the following Summer.

I bought Azzaro MW Parfum today for the cold and Eros Energy cuz the high was 91 here in Oklahoma at almost Halloween and sticking in the 70s and 80s for the next 2 weeks at least so I can still enjoy it for awhile. We will have some random warm ones in the winter too
You know that you can wear citrus fragrances in cold weather too xD Versace pour homme smells stunning in winter and lasts, never label fragrances by the notes, try them and see it for yourself.
literally smells like my Lemon Citrus disinfectant wet wipes i use in the kitchen. My kitchen smells fresh and nice, maybe i'll buy a bottle to spray my kitchen and bathroom curtains to add freshness.
I got both also and eros is just far more enjoyable immediately when you spray it while club de nuit needs to sit for 30min to an hour to be a pleasant scent. Eros is what club de nuit wishes it could be.
I mean its not bad but not special either, just like a lemon candy i eat for my sore throat. Performance was impressive tho, but it's an eros afterall.
I tried this scent a couple days ago and did not like it at all. It’s very harsh and aggressive smelling. It’s also very headache inducing, I ended up washing it off after an hour. To me, it smelled like a slightly better quality Club De Nuit. A very overused / redundant scent DNA.
To me this fragrance smells like or rather it reminds me of dolce & Gabbana forever and Italian love because the opening is very rindy and then it's just fresh all the way through I just keep smelling a lot of citrus and it actually stays pretty long on my skin I wore it a couple of weeks ago about 2 days in a row and I do like it but to me it smells like four or five other things that I own

They are very different. One is a citrus bomb with pepper and woods and the other dries down into a sweet coconut. Both smell amazing. JPG Paradise Garden performs better. JPG is more interesting/unique, but if you don't like coconut, then stay away.
If it smells like Aventus without the smokiness, I'll give it a try. I live in Florida so I'm always looking for something that will perform in the high heat.

A lot of people love Dior homme cologne and I think this is a great replacement for that for a cheaper price.
It smells great. the opening is unreal and it dries down a little more muted but still smells great. the musk comes out more after it dries

Exactly my boy. This is f. Pure lemon. Go to any Turkish shop or bazaar. You get this for 5 euro and Versace wants to fool us with 100 euro

The similarities are not found in the opening but in the drydown: oakmossy, birch very similar to hacivat, aventus (cologne), cdnim...

This doesn't smell like Aventus Cologne at the beginning, but it's spot on during the drydown.
Almost sounds like you're describing Roja a little bit. Although Roha leans more on the grapefruit and lime than the lemon.

I was able to get a sample at dillards. Smells decent on drydown, but im more of a lime fan than lemon.
I have a couple Versace fragrances I really like, but this one has a very strong lemon scent like a car air freshener, I was highly disappointed.
