I like the paid Masters at Tier 2, and I like 3 months in strategy. Tier 2, I can choose my specialty. Tier 2 would be strategy, so problem solving would be important rather than implementation, so less stress for those who prefer this. Tier 2 seems like less hours for more money and less stress. Tier 2 ad hoc would mean more strategy and self management.
Big 4 seems to be management consulting as you describe it, so if Big 4 then oil and gas for compliance and safety (salary). Big 4 would have to be a more careful application for industry that pays more. Big 4 has more employees, so that is useful for personal improvement. Template and framework to follow seems more managerial, so Big 4 would be paid less; Big 4 has more guidance,
Vote: Tier 2 by many things mentioned. I feel I would probably enjoy my life more and feel I have more time for myself to exercise and enjoy high-performance science. However, oil and gas in the Big 4 in compliance and safety could be competitive.
I want accounting, and I have to discover how that fits into strategy consulting vs management consulting.
It seems like you've weighed your options carefully! Tier 2 offers flexibility and less stress with a focus on strategy, while Big 4 could provide higher pay and more guidance, especially in oil and gas compliance. Consider what aligns best with your career goals and preferences in accounting. Good luck!
@@myconsultingoffer Great, I am happy that I narrowed that down to these options with you. Next I need to find the coorelation to accounting and these acheivments. I know my money preference with Tier 2, and I know that I can acheive my money goals more with Big 4 as long as I focus on oil and gas compliance. I have two great pathways. I like travel to keep in touch witih a global demographics but staying at home does that too, so both sound like great flexible choices. Thank you for you contribution!

Which is better to get into an MBB company? I am an accounting major asking. Trying to go to the Big 4.
Both paths offer valuable opportunities, but your accounting major will give you an edge in the Big 4, where you can build a solid foundation in financial expertise. However, if you're drawn to strategic consulting, consider expanding your skill set with courses in economics or business strategy to pursue MBB. Ultimately, it's about finding the right fit for your career aspirations and leveraging your strengths. Good luck!
