  • What's up man?!?!? I'm super stoked to show you how to use the Flavor Bible! (Link to purchase - amzn.to/3nZ7YKz )This book was made for people who are sick of needing a recipe every time they want to try something new. It's a book with a huge option of ingredients to look into, like crab. Then it gives a long list of foods that go well with crab. So you can look up nearly any item you want to cook and it gives a long list of foods that pair well with the chosen food item. It's super awesome and takes the guesswork out of "will they taste good together?"
Here's the link for your next book! "Fork in the Road, the guide to culinary school success or how to skip it altogether"

Hey Luke, I love the flavor Bible too. But there is something i dont understand. Like for your example with the crab: If Avocado is matching perfectly with crab but you want to add more bolt letter ingredients from the list...like bellpepper...do you need to check if Bellpeppr is matching with Avocado also? And would I have to do that with all ingrdients? Thanks a lot Luke!

Yes and no I guess. I would say yes if a combo like avocado and bell peppers seemed weird. I think most fruits and veggies can compliment each other, so no real need to look those up. I recently got stuck though, I was making a pizza and thought goat cheese and pineapple would work... I didn't look it up until after I made and ate it bc it was definitely not good. When I looked under goat cheese, pineapple is not listed. Had I looked I would've had a wonderful meal. So it's a hit and miss sometimes too. Cooking is a journey not a destination! Haha

@@LukeTrinosky Thanks for the reply :) I will definitely consider it for my next dish. Goatscheese and pineapple sounds indeed adventorous. But i love making mistakes and learn from it. Maybe blue cheese would work. In France they make Tarte Flambee with a cream cheese. I was thinking maybe a curried creamcheese for a pineapple pizza. But never tried a curried Pizza. Now I am motivated to start cooking. Thanks for the exchange Luke
