I really hope kpop stan can at least do a small research before they want to shade on Btob. Because sometimes their arguments sound too baseless and show how they didn't bother to check the fact
They keep denying. That's why I love old kpop fans(1st and 2nd gen kpop) because they always acknowledge other group's talent eventhough they got their own bias group. And most of the fans are multifandom(including me) because all groups are amazing. In fact, old kpop fans know and listen other groups comeback. But nowadays, kpop fans only listen to their bias group's songs. What a waste. They should discover more.
BtoB is the living example of perseverance. Looking back at their careers, it's been filled with ups and downs, even until now. But they always kept going steadily. And here we are almost a decade later. Couldn't be more proud to have taken part in all this.

By the way, I find it interesting that it's evident that their popularity only grew during the years that the members are serving in military. Especially international fans keep discovering BTOB from variety shows, or from sungjae through wgm/goblin/school 2015, and god knows what more. It was evident during the show your love era, we broke our own records then in terms of youtube views and music show win. And of course the old fans stay. So our numbers are only growing and growing 💙
BtoB is probably the only group whose popularity increased during their military break. That the fandom of a 9 years old group keeps growing as much as theirs is not normal. There’s a reason why BtoB is one of the last Boy groups remaining which debuted in 2012 (the others are Exo, Vixx and Nu’est)
I am one of those who joined the fandom just before BTOB4U debuted💙 I did find out BTOB because of Sungjae’s drama, as I have nothing to do besides watching dramas during quarantine😂 Maybe COVID is the reason why they are growing international fans during the period? Actually, knowing BTOB is one thing, but what made me decide to be a Melody is mostly because of the beatcoms and their real talent when I really get to know them. I must say their hard work in the past is paying them off.
Honestly, I'm just grateful you kept Ilhoon in. He may have chosen to leave the group, and we respect that, but we should likewise respect the fact that BTOB will never be the BTOB that it is today without him. He's part of their brotherhood and he will stay within our hearts forever.
We definitely won't hear anything about him from BTOB anymore (as they have restriction). So it just feel wrong if even fans also shut about him since we have no restriction at all. And I guess it's hard for me to suddenly pretend like idk someone whom I feel super close to.

I just heard about btob as sungjae's idol group. I'm more of a k-drama fan than k-pop fan. So i only know idols who doubles as actors too. I only listened to OSTs of the drama I am watching or watched. I just clicked kingdom because I am curious about the show. When I am about to close the tab from chrome I heard btob choir voices then peniels rap. Then wow I was like is this k-pop? So right then and there I searched anything and everything about BTOB. First time to really listen to idols' music and became an instant fan. It is also my first time to vote in any shows. It feels like I will do anything just for this group. Hahahaha Ps as a new melody I only knew about ilhoon's talent and I acknowledge that. his personal life is personal. It just made me mad that some fans are editing him out because of what happened. He was part of the group not just a singer but composer, producer, and writer too. He has as much rights to those songs as the other members are. You need to respect his talents. You can comdemn the act but never the person because anyone of us do not have the right to do that.

From what I've seen, Melody is a loyal fandom. Why? Because it's BTOB. Just being BTOB themself is more than enough to make a fandom like Melody. Waaa, I never love artist/musician as much as I love them. Eventhough I'm a baby melody, it feels like I've stanned them all my life.
Despite of the achievements of BTOB, all members remain humble. I think that's one of the reasons why they are still strong in this industry. They have pure talents but they also recognize other artist's talents. That's why many Kpop idol's role model is BTOB. In the past, it was very difficult for me to find variety show content, or other BTOB shows with English subtitles, especially Indonesian ones. I really have to wait for English subtitles to air for months, some even don't include English subtitles at all. But look now, this Fandom is getting bigger and BTOB is shining even more. All content has English subtitles. I remember very well, it was very difficult to increase the views of BTOB's MV when they comeback, and it's still clear in my mind how BTOB's MV finally got 1 million views at 24Hours. My melody fellow and I were crying happily. Everyone knows BTOB as a talented group. I want to be by their side until later🥲 To melody and btob, i love you both💙
That's why I really respect earlier Melody. It's easy for most of people to stan a group when they're at their peak but only few will stay during their low n hard times. Btob is still btob even after 10 years. After 8 to 9 years Stanning them. They really are the same. The music, style, talents and attitude but everytime they performed it always surprised and amazed me....thats one of the reason why I still stay here... Even I'm not active as other melody because of work and life but everytime btob has comeback I'm make sure I always updated and bought their album and download... The whole album even in debut days filled with the emotion and power that even time passes by I still remember and jam on it, especially their Ballad, rnb style of music. Their music also fits every season winter summer Falls.. And every seasons I always listen to it. Hearing some didn't yet know Btob is sad but it's not too late. Growing scale of Btob always steady, slow and increasing brightly even they are in military hiatus and they are only the group that I saw a steady and strong released even they are on hiatus. Btob didn't last long for haters to hate but for people who love them especially Melody and their family. Brotherhood stands on them. They may have up and down and regrets but at the end of the day they cherish each one of them and help one to overcome a crisis. 2020 and early 2021 is hard months of Btob. But I respect each one decision and I hope melody will understand them... I know they will. For me Btob still 7. Knowing our angel needs his brother despite his mistake, he is willing to have help and I know Btob members are always there for him. Knowing and hearing Eunkwang said his biggest difficulty is his regret of not being so ATTENTIVE as a leader like taking Changsub health and Peniel dillema of going back to his home country America, but deep in his heart he points out all his worries to each member and try to do the best he can as a leader, makes me sad at the same time being proud that he still a leader who look up to his weakness and much more Improved it to the welfare of Btob. I am addicted to their songs and whenever I am down, I just go to Utube and type BTOB just to see them or how people reacting to them. This made me so emotional 😭 i found BTOB from videos on tiktok and when Outsider came out, I decided to stan them. I always love kpop but never been interested in just stanning one group but BTOB changed that for me. I just fell for their raw talent, beautiful songs and also goofiness.

As someone who's a new international Melody (but not new to kpop), I don't think the problem is with the fact that they are strong in ballads. There are many people in other parts of the world who love ballads and BTOB's music can be relatable to them. To me why so many of today's most voted songs or MVs are in the EDM genre (as you said) could be because most of their listeners are very young and have a lot of time in their hands - their streaming and use of social media have given these songs and artists a lot more visibility....so to people who are new to Kpop, they will not know that Korea has strong balladeers until they discover them. I was one of those who knew BTOB thru variety shows (and if course Sungjae thru Goblin) and have at least heard Missing You when it randomly came up on Spotify (btw I liked it immediately). I followed Kingdom because I was curious enough to check them out and I love what I've heard. My ult group is SHINee and my other 2 stan groups are EXO and (now) BTOB - all 3 are strong in ballads 😉

The only group I stan next to CNBLUE. I knew them since 2013 (because of ilhoon's gwiyomi vid) but I didn't pay attention to them. Took me almost 4 years to 'know' them again because of Sungjae and I regret not stanning them since day one (but better late than never). It's Okay is my first BTOB song (that song made me stan since I LOOOOVE ballads) and it is one of their songs that will always have a special place in my heart. These boys don't know how much they made life bearable. I totally agree when people say that they are healing idols. Lol, this is such a lengthy comment but I really just want the world to recognize how wonderful, genuine, and talented BTOB are. When i started stanning BTOB and watching their videos most of the comments are korean fans i scroll down to see where is English comments and even until now. I appreciate kmelody for watching in youtube, cause most of korean watch it before in naver. And when kingdom started you will read mostly korean commented. I'm so happy now that BTOB gained so much fans since i started stanning I'm crying I missed them together. They deserved all the love in this world. Around 2013/2014 I hung a boy group posters in my room without knowing who they were. Around 2017/2018 when I still in college, RUclips recommended a song to me, it's "Missing You" and I loved it right away! Then around 2019 when I came home and already became a Melody, guess how surprised I was.. it turned out that the posters I hung up in my room were actually them, BtoB! 😍

I just heard about btob as sungjae's idol group. I'm more of a k-drama fan than k-pop fan. So i only know idols who doubles as actors too. I only listened to OSTs of the drama I am watching or watched. I just clicked kingdom because I am curious about the show. When I am about to close the tab from chrome I heard btob choir voices then peniels rap. Then wow I was like is this k-pop? So right then and there I searched anything and everything about BTOB. First time to really listen to idols' music and became an instant fan. It is also my first time to vote in any shows. It feels like I will do anything just for this group. Hahahaha
Ps as a new melody I only knew about ilhoon's talent and I acknowledge that. his personal life is personal. It just made me mad that some fans are editing him out because of what happened. He was part of the group not just a singer but composer, producer, and writer too. He has as much rights to those songs as the other members are. You need to respect his talents.
You can comdemn the act but never the person because anyone of us do not have the right to do that.

honestly i’ve been a kpop fan since 2016 and i’ve heard btob many times but didn’t really pay attention to them since i thought it would be hard to catch up on the contents as they’ve been in the industry for a pretty long time, but now i’ve regretted it so much that i only got to know them during kingdom. i’d like to thank minhyuk for convincing the other members to join kingdom because i don’t think i would’ve been their fan if they didn’t. it’s better be late than never, now i’m slowly catching up with their contents and i’m loving every single of it 🥺💙 i’m a melody now!!

Thank you for this beautiful video. I really cried when I played this video. I am a fan from Indonesia. I've been a melody since the i'll be your man era. In the past, it was very difficult for me to find variety show content, or other BTOB shows with English subtitles, especially Indonesian ones. I really have to wait for English subtitles to air for months, some even don't include English subtitles at all. But look now, this Fandom is getting bigger and BTOB is shining even more. All content has English subtitles. I remember very well, it was very difficult to increase the views of BTOB's MV when they comeback, and it's still clear in my mind how BTOB's MV finally got 1 million views at 24Hours. My melody fellow and I were crying happily. Everyone knows BTOB as a talented group. I want to be by their side until later🥲 To melody and btob, i love you both💙

Btob is still btob even after 10 years. After 8 to 9 years Stanning them. They really are the same. The music, style, talents and attitude but everytime they performed it always surprised and amazed me....thats one of the reason why I still stay here... Even I'm not active as other melody because of work and life but everytime btob has comeback I'm make sure I always updated and bought their album and download... The whole album even in debut days filled with the emotion and power that even time passes by I still remember and jam on it, especially their Ballad, rnb style of music. Their music also fits every season winter summer Falls.. And every seasons I always listen to it.
Hearing some didn't yet know Btob is sad but it's not too late. Growing scale of Btob always steady, slow and increasing brightly even they are in military hiatus and they are only the group that I saw a steady and strong released even they are on hiatus.
Btob didn't last long for haters to hate but for people who love them especially Melody and their family. Brotherhood stands on them. They may have up and down and regrets but at the end of the day they cherish each one of them and help one to overcome a crisis.
2020 and early 2021 is hard months of Btob. But I respect each one decision and I hope melody will understand them... I know they will. For me Btob still 7. Knowing our angel needs his brother despite his mistake, he is willing to have help and I know Btob members are always there for him. Knowing and hearing Eunkwang said his biggest difficulty is his regret of not being so ATTENTIVE as a leader like taking Changsub health and Peniel dillema of going back to his home country America, but deep in his heart he points out all his worries to each member and try to do the best he can as a leader, makes me sad at the same time being proud that he still a leader who look up to his weakness and much more Improved it to the welfare of Btob.
I hope people will recognisee them not only to their variety skills but also to their Music. Because that's where I started. Their music who touch my souls and heart. Their Attitude who make me love and adore them more and their HARDWORK AND TALENT that still intact to my memories since 2012.

As someone who's a new international Melody (but not new to kpop), I don't think the problem is with the fact that they are strong in ballads. There are many people in other parts of the world who love ballads and BTOB's music can be relatable to them.
To me why so many of today's most voted songs or MVs are in the EDM genre (as you said) could be because most of their listeners are very young and have a lot of time in their hands - their streaming and use of social media have given these songs and artists a lot more visibility....so to people who are new to Kpop, they will not know that Korea has strong balladeers until they discover them.
I was one of those who knew BTOB thru variety shows (and if course Sungjae thru Goblin) and have at least heard Missing You when it randomly came up on Spotify (btw I liked it immediately). I followed Kingdom because I was curious enough to check them out and I love what I've heard. My ult group is SHINee and my other 2 stan groups are EXO and (now) BTOB - all 3 are strong in ballads 😉

The only group I stan next to CNBLUE. I knew them since 2013 (because of ilhoon's gwiyomi vid) but I didn't pay attention to them. Took me almost 4 years to 'know' them again because of Sungjae and I regret not stanning them since day one (but better late than never).
It's Okay is my first BTOB song (that song made me stan since I LOOOOVE ballads) and it is one of their songs that will always have a special place in my heart. These boys don't know how much they made life bearable. I totally agree when people say that they are healing idols.

When i started stanning BTOB and watching their videos most of the comments are korean fans i scroll down to see where is English comments and even until now. Around 2013/2014 I hung a boy group posters in my room without knowing who they were. Around 2017/2018 when I still in college, RUclips recommended a song to me, it's "Missing You" and I loved it right away! Then around 2019 when I came home and already became a Melody, guess how surprised I was.. it turned out that the posters I hung up in my room were actually them, BtoB! 😍
