I'm glad some companies are starting to listen, I've always wanted an electric vehicle that gets at least a 50 mile range and can do 45 mph. Literally a well built scooter than can compete and replace the 150cc scooters for about the same price range (I'm talking name brand and not the cheap 150cc Chinese scooters).
Awesome video!!! I just picked up my Molo 5 this week! I have a 15000w 50ah battery version i haven't had the chance to do a top speed video but my brother said he hit 56 and he's 230. I agree with the battery and controllers. it's my cruiser, if I have to upgrade battery or controllers later I will, but so far I like how it rides. I also have the F8 and I love that thing!

@INFINITIBROTHERS thanks! In terms of battery I would check out Amorge on Facebook as they have a ton of options for different setups. As far as controllers go, I mainly use Econic Cycles as they a bunch of Fardriver controllers for a reasonable price.

I bought a Roadrunner Pro and decided to sell it prematurely due to the Frame being prone to Cracking. This was a Big disappointment! I miss being on 2 Low to Ground wheels with great speed. Why didn’t you go with the 50 ah Hour battery vs the 40ah? What is the weight differential in comparison? Thank You for the Great information and well done video.

it definitely can be in some ways just a few problems, steering angle is not optimal, battery probably has cheap Chinese cells, and the frame looks completely un upgradable if that’s your thing. Also their customer service is probably garbage and takes forever to get something fixed

That's a good question I'd have to ask the manufacturer. I didn't see on their site about any UL certifications but they are using the common but reliable 21700 cells
I think we have reached the point that all e bikes,e scooters ect ect should come with the best controllers and motors especially for the price they're asking....when hd tvs first came out they were very expensive now because hd is the norm i feel electric bikes and scooters are too...there are so many companies and brands that anything electric over $1500 should already have top notch electronics....JMO

Both are pretty similar in specs and performance such as top speed, acceleration, and cost. In terms of weight, the Molo 5 is definitely heavier at 175 pounds which can be a factor for some. I think the biggest difference will be the stock battery range which is where the Molo 5 shines. Not only is it 72V, but you get 40ah stock and the range will get you over 40 miles on one charge.
That's pretty cool.. To me, something like a Honda Grom would be better in electric form. Much higher comfort and style. Take the motor out of a Grom and put the battery and controller in its place. No exhaust or tank needed.
I see it as a hard to upgrade bike/scooter. The tires seem to be too small but I also bet that they’re spongy enough to absorb the limited play the shocks seem to have. Really disappointed about top end speed, it’s no speed demon even tho it should be given the soecs. Either the battery or controllers seem to be the bottle neck but without a teardown it might be hard to tell. My RRPro can do better. I don’t see this gaining much popularity tho in the US markets cause I think we like to have bikes & scooters that look and act like bikes and scooters. This thing is tiny and short. I see this hitting off in Europe, places like Italy, Rome where the streets are small and narrow.
Battery brand is important. China doesn’t like to tell us much you have to seek information out all the time. Brake brand, regen brake, charger current, light lumens, 0 to 30 mph, brand of tires and are they tubeless -and what the heck does explosion proof mean lol?
Many are moving to the LIFE4po4 EVE battery brand or CATL, batteries ( same as Tesla)that have longer longevity, and 2000 charge cycles, but you can order any scooter, e-bike, or e-motorcycle with the Panasonic, Lg, or Samsung pack but it will be more My stealth bomber came with an EVE battery pack that delivers long-range, and strong power.
Battery too close to your balls. It’s gonna be a fertility issue for long term . Battery has high current and EMF. Will fk up human natural Aura and cell regeneration. Should stay out from the balls for some distance or at least use some insulation to block the EMF 😅
You need to maintain your lane , you’re all over the lane with that thing . That’s the reason why communities develop laws , and restrictions against Scooters . I can understand your enthusiasm , and excitement . But you should obey the same road rules that motorcyclist obey . That way those Scooters don’t get heavily restricted .

YO! by the way, the front shocks are not coil, they are ajustable hydralic dual fork shocks (top nob is ajudtable)

These types of scooters look fun but I would be worried it would get stolen in a parking lot. With unicycles you can bring them in the store with you.
