I just saw my ticket again, and confirmed it via emirates website! It was B777-300 with RR engines, not 772 I know the differences between these models! and I am not a baby in aviation industry.

The normal 300 has more flat/old style wingtips like the 200ER or -200, while the 300ER has longer raked/new style ones. Emirates operates the 200ER, 200LR, 300H, and 300ER. Their 300Hs are only powered by RR engines (and has flat old style wingtips), and the 300ER are only powered by GE engines (this is for all airlines throughout the world the only engine powering the 300ER is the GEs). You may be confused as the 200ER, which is older than the 200LR and 300ER, also has flat wings and can be powered by RR or GE engines. Look up "Emirates Airfleets" on Google and you will be taken to the full info for every aircraft in the Emirates fleet, including engine type. Again, the proof is in the wingtips (look at 300ER videos to see the difference). So, it is clear that you flew on the 777-300H with RR engines. Finally, on such a short flight, it is no big deal for Emirates to replace the normal 300ER with the 300H if the need arises (mechanical issues with the normal plane, etc...)Not fighting with you, just trying to help another enthusiast be more informed! :)

You can also 'chat' with RR and they will deny any of their engines powering the 77W, putting under-powered RRs on 77W just defies the whole purpose of the plane, pretty sure Emirates is not that stupid. p.s. you keep mentioning some "catalog", just post a soft copy of it here and we will believe you!

This is not right, Boeing 777-300/300ER have raked wingtips and this plane does not so that is a Boeing 777-300LR
