I SEARCHED MANY YOU TUBE VIDEOS FOR UNDERSTANDING THIS CONCEPT I I DIDNT GET ANY ACCURATE PLATFORM BUT AS A LAST TRY I OPEN THIS AND I GET UNDERSTAND.... IT IS SUPERB AND SUBERB WAY TO EXPLAIN WITH EXMPLE THANK YOU
This concept is like an inheritance concept in Java programming language. Properties of parent class will be accessed by child class .. Good explanation from you sir👏👏 very glad to see your videos..
yes you are right, but not all reference values in the parent table must be in the child table column...so it doesnot necessarily take all the properties of the parent (but all the values of the child column must be in the parent table (column)).
Sir as you told we can establish relationship between multiple tables by using the primary key and foreign keys.... But how...?? I'm thinking that primary key is only one(i.e fixed) but 'n' number of foreign keys are used with reference to primary key...???
I have re watch his video and analysis... Yer, same thing he did.. Basically, you have to use the foreign key column and you can choose any other column from the child or second table with same data type ... I hope it helps
Another issue is, when doing this in Oracle the syntax is hard to get right ... been trying to use the alter syntax and add constraint but it’s terrible 😭
In order to know if a Primary Key column (parent) will be a foreign Key column in another table (child)...we should first map a relationship between the tables and find the cardinalities of the association.. table 1 (1,1 ) mapped to the table 2(0,n).....the primary key column of table 2 (parent) will become a foreign key column in table 1 (child).. the primary Key column of table 2 (parent) has unique and NOT NULL values the foreign Key column of table 1 (child) will have NON UNIQUE VALUES and NOT NULL (all of its values must be in the primary key column of the parent table 2)
Then what's is the use of it, we need to create first parent table, then child table, how we can use it dynamically ? I tried several times, also I first create parent table, and then use last insert I'd option, to insert in child table column, but facing errror. 😭
i need anser for this , to ensure that the amount withdrawn should be less than the credit card limit amount , to ensure integrity what type constraints will be used ? a. column level check constraints b.table level foreign key constraints c.table level check constraints d.column level foreign key constraints
Let us say we have table 1, table 2 and table 3 Create a relationship (Primary Key and Foreign Key) between table 1 and 2, another one between table 2 and 3 or table 3 and 1.. Use the join to retrive data from the 3 tables. Hope it helps.

Even if my tables doesn't have any matching columns can I give pk and fk..in the case of connecting 3 tables ??
i need anser for this , to ensure that the amount withdrawn should be less than the credit card limit amount , to ensure integrity what type constraints will be used ?
a. column level check constraints
b.table level foreign key constraints

Hi and thank you for your videos. How can I make three tables to follow each other? Thanks again
Let us say we have table 1, table 2 and table 3
Create a relationship (Primary Key and Foreign Key) between table 1 and 2, another one between table 2 and 3 or table 3 and 1..
Use the join to retrive data from the 3 tables.
Hope it helps.
