Like others have said - I advocate saving that iron rock, even in a pile for the short term, then figuring out how to add it to the landscape or also the Cog Hill Farm business plan.

A nice contemporary rockery with creeping herbs and succulents.
Such a perfect mix of wholesome/entertaining/educational content. It feels like a farm version of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. Be kind, work hard, always try to be learning and always be willing to share what you have learned. It's nice to see a channel exuding these values doing so well. They're building a Barndominium and a 2 acre pond with absolute zero hint of "flexing." Imagine an ACE Family parody of a Cog Hill video lol

What did you mean by “flexing “? I can only think of 2 meanings and neither of them fit. I am not very hip on the new uses for old words. Just too short. Goes right over my head.
And what is ACE Family parody? Is that a RUclips channel that does parodies?
@@tommielourogers4327 He meant they are not showing off. Guys who want to try to seem tough will sometimes flex their muscles to make the muscles look big. Trying to show off that they are strong or attractive. The term "flexing" just came to mean that someone is bragging about what they can do. So, it's nice that Cog Hill is not bragging at all about the beautiful home that they are building. I hope that helps. 😊
You should keep that "iron-ore" for decorative purposes, like bookends or statues... Be really pretty once cleaned up!

Am also thinking you should collect those chunks of " iron ore"... maybe make a retaining wall somewhere out of it...repurpose what the land gives you for free. Maybe a campfire pit or something.

Not "iron ore". My hometown, Bell Island, Newfoundland, Canada. Was a iron ore mining town, doesn't look like the iron ore I grew up with that ore was a dull red. Anything white you laundered and hung on the clothesline turned pink from the dust.
Moody's looking pretty good, now that he's got some weight on him. He seems more secure and not so desperate when it comes time to eat.

Peaches loves her piggy palace. She seems so content to actually be with all her admirers. She lies on her hay throne and they come visit. Wonderful for her.
Those rocks are beautiful. Like others have said, they would make great accents in gardens around the house. Things are really starting to take shape and it’s easier to envision what everything will finally look like.

Maybe at the corners of the potage (?) garden walkway. You could like find bigger rocks if you wanted to. :-)
I got a lump in my throat as you were explaining plans for the back yard. Those picture inserts of the potager and the pathway to the fruit orchard were so beautiful. I was touched by their beauty and by knowing that you two will bring these things into reality.on your farm.
I know I have told you this before, I enjoy your videos and all the information, ideas, progress on the new farm. My favorite part is when y'all are loving on your sweet babies. It makes me so happy and just makes my day no matter what time it is. Today I watched it during my lunch break. :)

Like the way Jason inserts the music with the video. Great job explaining how the two houses connect with the breezeway and how you see the backyard area being used. The garden, fruit orchard and pond are coming around. Lots of new work to add to the existing chores. Looking 10 years out, Brooke's mom's place could become MaryCarl's.

Hello Jason, Brooke, MaryCarl, and all of the magnificent animals! I am pretty new to the channel, and I've really been enjoying your videos. This is my first comment. I used to work on a somewhat sizable ranch in California, where I was the cook for a few summers in my teen years. Part of my job also included milking two cows, and tending the pigs and chickens daily. We had 150 Herefords, two Jerseys, 20 pigs, about 20 chickens, horses, goats, sheep, etc. We grew winter wheat and rye. Watching your channel brings back memories! What breed is lovely Mildred? Is she a Charolais? I love all of the many breeds of chickens, turkeys, pigeons, and other birds you have there. Thanks for this channel. I'm enjoying it so much. Love seeing everything laid out and you explained it very well. Now I can see just how very, very beautiful its going to be. What an absolute dream come true for your family and all your animals. So Blessed. It didn't come easy, you guys have worked very, very hard to get here. I hated to see you leave little Cog Hill. I have to say what a fantastic choice you have all made. Watching it come together is so, soooooo exciting I feel like a little kid watching it all take place. I was born and raised on a dairy farm, my father had many businesses and we all pulled our weight and I wouldn't take one second of that back. The sadist day is when I moved to town after 45 years of living and raising my children and nieces and nephews on that farm. It was a good move after my dad had passed away, but a day doesn't go by that I don't think about it. So it makes me thrilled to see your family build a farm that will stand the test of time and provide possibly a Homestead for Marycarl when she is a grown woman, marries and has children. Thank you for the house update! Regarding the buck feeding etc. I watch Blue Cactus Dairy Goats out of Arizona, and they feed their bucks on the outside of their pen. The food bin is attached to the outside of the pen, and the bucks put their heads through the fence and eat on the outside. It seems to be working really good for them and avoids contact with the stinky Boys.

Peaches was just a digging in there trying to dig up the straw to make her a fluffy bed she can crawl into to stay warm. She says she needs a lot more straw so she can make a more fluffy of a bed to crawl into to stay warm. She says it's cold. Mildred is gonna be a sweet heart just like Moody. Especially since y'all started out with her as a calf. She's so cute. I know y'all are so excited watching the house come together.

Love the breezeway concept - often called *dog-run* (aka dogtrot, possum-trot) in Mississippi. Mother also loved the design ... did much of her growing up in that style house. I built a small 1200 sqft version for her here before she passed ... with run end doors + screen doors, sheltered porches, and plenty of windows to ogle our Texas Hillcountry wildlife.
Love the dog trot design. We actually tried to make a dog trot work but just couldn’t figure out the garage

The Farm animals all seem content, I'd imagine that after a while it gets easier remembering the names of so many! The scale of Barn dominium as walked through next looks huge. I was in a building the other day looked up and they used black metal trusses and the ceiling was painted black- thought of you- looks really nice, they also had exposed silver round heating ducts. The lights over the counter were clear seed glass pendants with Edison type bulbs. Very chic

That is going to be quite the house! I'm so glad they got that rock out. I live on a mountain and I can't even get rebar in the ground. We've got about an inch of soil and everything else is rock. I just adore watching all y'all interact with your animals. Just warms my heart. God bless all y'all.

My best friend's (she passed away 11 yrs ago from leukemia days before her 6oth birthday) father raised & showed miniature schnauzers . He also groomed them & so did my friend. Her father loved those little dogs & they were treated like people. I always wanted one but couldn't afford one. Everytime I see Arlo, I think of Jill & her father. He had several blue ribbon champion dogs. dogs. I love seeing Arlo. I love his new cut... I'm so happy your house is getting built & I can't wait to see it.

I heard that a meeting was held and and Peaches is running for Mayor of the Cog Hill 40. Those chickens are her campaign workers. She knows that a campaign is really not necessary, because she is a shoo-in, but campaigns are sooo much fun! She said that she is going to see if you will hang some red, white and blue bunting around her area - she is so proud of being an American.
