Many are surprised why Quant Momentum Fund has not been discussed. Although the name is Quant Momentum Fund, please note that they never follow momentum investing approach. They buy only those stocks which are in a totally neglected zone, but are at an inflexion point. Now you will ask "Why they have named it Momentum Fund". The answer is they follow "Earnings momentum" and not "Price momentum"....

Only the passive momentum Index funds are covered. What about the actively managed Momentum funds like Quant.
The rebalancing is done only twice in a year - June & December. So, even if a stock loses momentum, it will have to wait till June / December to be excluded.

Already SIP is going on to UTI Nifty 200 Momentum 30. After two years, the return would be compared for renewal of SIP or Not.

Nifty 200 momentum 30 index doesn't hv small cap companies where as nifty 500 momentum 50 index has small cap companies

Although the name is Quant Momentum Fund, you will be surprised to know they never follow momentum investing approach. They buy only those stocks which are totally neglected but are at an inflexion point. Now you will ask "Why they have named it Momentum Fund". The answer is they follow "Earnings momentum" and not "Price momentum". Hope this answers your question.

No. Overlap will cause. Pls go with nifty 50 index fund (UTI Index fund) if you don't have any index fund in portfolio
