I have been to 48 countries. Thailand in my opinion is the best country in the east. I had my 21st birthday at the Full moon party in 2004 and have been back multiple times, my longest stay was 5 months. Now I am married to a Thai. We plan on going back this next year possibly to live part time in the north :) Cheers.
Watching your Chiang Mai videos in 2017 first got me interested in moving to Thailand and working remotely. Only three months ago that vision became a reality and I'm now in Thailand :)
You're right, one moment will bury you forever. I am Thai and quite wealthy but I always remember when I was a kid in the countryside, catch fish in the fields, find bamboo in forest, dig insects ...etc Nowadays you are so rich and had luxury cars, but you always miss the days when you rode a motorcycle with your friends. Money isn't always everything, you always miss a good old days even you don't have a single penny.
New style in this video. Pandemic changed everything. I noticed that everytime y say "having fun" somebody opening a bottle of champagne 🍾. I can go back to y first RUclips videos. I prefer those videos to this one, but i believe time change things and we may not be same person anymore 🙂. But the way i was inspired and now live in bali. Thanks 🙏
Glad you shared your story Chris, out of all of your destinations Chiang Mai is by far my favourite! Let’s see what you discover in the future…all the best!
Quality video, Chris! Your story telling, filming and video editing are all brilliantly inspiring and have improved so much over the years. Chiang Mai's aura will always keep me coming back, too. Excited to see where your next adventures take you and thanks for sharing it with us all.
Great to see a new video from you, excellent story telling as always. I can relate to the living out of a suitcase and getting tired. Now about 4 months in each country seems to be the sweet spot for me. So traveling slower I guess has helped balance work productivity, burnout, and avoiding getting bored.
Chris, great to hear from you again. Have a good time in South America. In fact, I liked Mexico, Colombia and Brazil better than Southeast Asia. The vibe, the people, the music ... everything was more fun.
wow, your story melt our heart, Thailand is still an undeveloped country in our eyes but many Western move and work here. Thanks for your professional clip about Thailand. Keep going!
I will begin Digital Nomad life with my wife, your videos about thailand inspired us. Hope you keep trying new places and bring us this great content. Who knows if we don't meet each other in this traveling life style, kind regards from Brazil.
Whoa crazy how similar you feel to me… I started following you in 2017, was in Chiang mai around the same time as you. Nick nerovs RUclips inspired me to start Amazon (and this channel) back in 2017 and been doing it since. I’ve also travelled the world and currently find myself back in Chiang mai with a lot of the same thoughts as you. Would love to meet up if you’re still here.
Chris you are such an inspiration! I love watching your videos (been doing that for the last couple of years), your editing skills are just mind blowing
Hey man, you've been a huge inspiration and the reason why I began to travel 4+ years ago. Also have gotten a little tired of the lifestyle after having spent a year in LatAm in 2022. With this being said: make sure to check out Buenos Aires. It's currently my preferred option for settling down, the 3 months I've been there were quite amazing. All the best!
Hey Chris, this is Michael, the guy that took care of your meal tonight at Macaw Cafe and Restaurant in Rawai. I hope you enjoyed your meal. I felt like taking care of your meal, because of all the things that I have learned from you throughout years and the time and effort you put into making these videos and obtaining content that has been incredibly useful to my wife and I. I figured that this is the absolute least I could do to show you a little gratitude. Just a reminder, I actually did meet you a few years ago in Chiang Mai at the Maya Shopping Mall downstairs near Rimping. Take care Chris :)
Awesome Chris I like the new style and sharing your post nomad journey. I can relate. Would be great to reconnect if you're in Chiang Mai November this yr
I know what you mean about missing a particular place. I taught English in Japan and South Korea in my 20's and then returned to the US. Although I'm comfortable and happy in my hometown in my 50's, I also still miss living in Japan.
Thank you for great Content Chris. If you like to experience something different you might consider trek in Himalayas. Love from Nepal. Would love to see you here.
Yeah not surprised man. I've been to South America 7 times so far for about 3 months in total. Coming from the U.S., I've never thought Europe was that much different, especially Western Europe. Definitely an unpopular opinion but I agree with you.
It's a great opportunity for you to come to Argentina. In Buenos Aires we have a really affordable city, secure in most places and with a lot of activities to do. Also, I know a group of digital nomads that goes to different bars or places every Thursday and may be helpful for you. If you want, I can send you a link to join to that group of nomads and also information about Buenos Aires.
You should make a video on how to make friends abroad. You make it look effortless. How the hell do you make friends and keep in touch with them? It’s a mystery to me.
Not too surprised you didn’t choose to make London your home, it’s ok for a visit but that’s enough. The British weather is the reason many Brits leave or at least take vacations when they can to warmer climes. There is a lot to see in Europe, glad you saw some of it, and maybe you’ll be back ?
@@ChristheFreelancer yeah, I think to make mainland Europe your home, I think you need to learn the language in whichever country you would like to live. Otherwise you will always be an expat. You can certainly get around Europe with just English but it’s not enough to connect more deeply
nice video and defo inspires me but isnt this also a sense of escapism? like ive got work to do and need to sit down for long periods to get it done and feel country hoping to hang with friends isnt going to push me forward yet the shots on here look so nice and literally a dream!!
Chris, check out Medellín when you go to SA. Great nomad culture here. Great culture in general. Been following you for a few years. Your how to become a nomad vid inspired me. Love to meet you and help you get plugged in here.
Dude you should come to Argentina. We have a huge community of expats (most of them staying long term) - I run an expats tag rugby team and would love to have you with us!
Chris, your video is well shot/edited and all of that but could it be you are looking for something that doesn't exist? It looks like you're into partying with the luuvies wherever you go and I doubt South America (coincidentally the only continent I've never been to) will be any different. However whatever path lies around the corner, you have at least lived. Wishing you the best (even if you've already experienced the best).
Great video as expected and it’s true, Thailand is so hard to beat, I always end up back here and for me, Bangkok is home.
Dear Chad THANK YOU❤❤❤🙏🙏
And your love for Thailand's racing culture is much appreciate lol.
Hi Chad you be here , when I will see your Thaitanic long tail boat finish :P

Nice to see your summary of 2022 Chris. We should catch up when you have a chance 🙂

Thanks Josh. We'll see about Medellin. I visited for 10 days in 2017 and I wasn't that impressed.

What Turkish music are you into?
The month I was in Istanbul, Tinlicker, ARTBAT, Black Coffee and Fideles all had gigs in the city. Plus the regular techno clubs are lit as well.
They finally let you out then. Great video work.
