      @@MichaelMaxwell747 ya that's pretty weird, actually. The fans wanna hear the great Scorpions songs, not classic 50s-60s rock songs wth. Reminds me of Uriah Heep Live album from 1973, there's a medley in there of those old songs.. why ???? Especially when their repertoire had so many great songs back then and then ignore them basically... I never understood that

    I usually just listen to No One Like You and Rock You Like A Hurricane, maybe Bad Boys Running Wild, RUclips recommended He's A Woman and it was kinda rockin for the 70s so I decided to check out the 70s Scorps. It was very Acid Rock and I wanted Metal, then I came across Sails Of Charon and it is my new favorite Scorps song. Sails Of Charon is the best 70s Scorps song, one great thing about it is it sounds like something from 1982 but it is from 1977, it is ahead of it's time. It's like some Dio/Maiden/Yngwie combination, I would love a whole album of stuff like this. I'm so glad I found this song.

      James Rockford - That’s complete bullshit! Uli left just as the band’s contract with RCA was ending and there was a bidding war between every major label in the world for Scorpions because they all knew the band was set to explode. There were plans to tour the U.S. Finally, which Klaus tried to persuade Uli to do, to no avail. They were going to be big, regardless. Mathias is a good player, but isn’t the reason they “made it” in the States. They were snowballing for the previous five years with Uli and Mathias rode the wave.

    • @RhonJohns
      @RhonJohns 4 года назад +4

      While that is true, Matthias rode the wave for Lovedrive only, with Animal Magnetism, he shaped the Scorpion's sound once again. He continued this way in Blackout and Love at first sting. And eventually into the late 80s era and Ballad era. So yes he rode it in Lovedrive, but he made his name out in A.M, reshaping their sound, and eventually a bulk of the fans came from this era. Uli, from what I piece, left as Scorpion's wasn't his style of playing, it is not something he wanted to pursue when there were many other things he had interest in.

    Let us not underestimate the power of German culture, intelligence and passion!. The Pioneer of Neo Classical Guitar was Ritchie Blackmore as he explained when he took those Master Guitar Lessons that had Harmonic Minor Bach induced accurate runs. The moment in NeoClasssical Rock was solidified when This Guitar Master Uli Jon Roth joined the Scorpions; and Neo Classical Metal or Euro Metal, was never the same again. This performance captures the mastery and the essence of the six string prowess of Uli Jon Roth and explains why even though he was inspired by the Michael Angelo painting. It was the Masterful style of Flamenco that he used to perform that song!. and nobody did it better than him; Not to put down Michael Schenker; it is just a different energy when a painting and loud electric guitar playing meet in Rock. This performance in 1978 explains where Yngwie gets his inspiration from!. Besides the Blues; who says You cannot play Baroque music in Rock!.G.

      Schenker demoed the beautiful Baroque- ish “ Bijou Pleasurette “ during 1978-1979 or even earlier, classic music is already written in those European guitarists’ DNA 🧬
