I adore Bill Nye. He is a kind soul with a passion for science. In this video, Bill Nye repeatedly raises the need for better energy storage and more efficient desalination systems. I don't understand. In SoCal, the answer to his challenge is this: solar cells in the deserts and windmills in the mountain passes with wires leading to the shore and connected at the terminal to an electrolysis system. The electricity produced by the windmills and solar cells should be used to electrolyze shoreline seawater. The hydrogen from the electrolysis should then be stored and used as necessary to run a turbojet driven dynamo. The exhaust from the turbine engine is nothing but pure DESALINATED water. Wind and sun are the energy source. Hydrogen is the "battery." Hydrogen can be stored in vast tanks. The tanks can be filled with nitrogen which would be displaced by hydrogen during the "charging" cycle, and the displaced nitrogen would flow into displacement tanks. Water electrolysis is not a cheap way to produce desalinated water, except when the electrolytic process is used to produce potential energy in the form of hydrogen gas which can then be run through a turbojet engine to spin dynamos at times when renewable power sources are unavailable, like at night or when there is no wind. I am not an original thinker. Ten thousand people must be thinking the same thing as me. So, why the ffuucckk is nobody doing anything like this? Who are the nay-sayers standing in the way? I know they're out there.
The burden of proof is always proof the one making a claim. For those people out there claiming mankind is warming the planet, you need to prove that claim. You should be able to answer a few basic questions like: What is the perfect temperature the planet is supposed to be? Is the planet warmer than that? Be specific Of that number, what percent is man made? That is it in a nutshell. Please, can anyone answer this?

As it turns out 51% of greenhouse gas that’s emitted into the atmosphere comes from the four-legged food we eat in the form of methane. Yes I know, sounds ridiculous , but look this up. It’s been proven by multiple studies. ice core samples taken from both north and south poles have tiny air bubbles trapped can be measured for their content such as oxygen nitrogen etc and how they compare to present day levels. From this information scientists have painstakingly created a record of the earths climate over the past thousands and thousands of years. This is the benchmark by which we are currently comparing our present day climate crisis to. Never before has temperature increased so dramatically in such a short period of time. This is the super simplified version of course. There are many more people qualified to speak on this topic in depth, but that’s what I’ve extrapolated from the reading I’ve done. The electricity produced by the windmills and solar cells should be used to electrolyze shoreline seawater. The hydrogen from the electrolysis should then be stored and used as necessary to run a turbojet driven dynamo. The exhaust from the turbine engine is nothing but pure DESALINATED water.
Wind and sun are the energy source. Hydrogen is the "battery." Hydrogen can be stored in vast tanks. The tanks can be filled with nitrogen which would be displaced by hydrogen during the "charging" cycle, and the displaced nitrogen would flow into displacement tanks.
Water electrolysis is not a cheap way to produce desalinated water, except when the electrolytic process is used to produce potential energy in the form of hydrogen gas which can then be run through a turbojet engine to spin dynamos at times when renewable power sources are unavailable, like at night or when there is no wind.

The burden of proof is always proof the one making a claim. For those people out there claiming mankind is warming the planet, you need to prove that claim. You should be able to answer a few basic questions like:
What is the perfect temperature the planet is supposed to be?
Is the planet warmer than that? Be specific
Of that number, what percent is man made?
That is it in a nutshell. Please, can anyone answer this?
Nightverslonn I asked many of the same questions myself when looking at climate change. As it turns out 51% of greenhouse gas that’s emitted into the atmosphere comes from the four-legged food we eat in the form of methane. Yes I know, sounds ridiculous , but look this up. It’s been proven by multiple studies. ice core samples taken from both north and south poles have tiny air bubbles trapped can be measured for their content such as oxygen nitrogen etc and how they compare to present day levels. From this information scientists have painstakingly created a record of the earths climate over the past thousands and thousands of years. This is the benchmark by which we are currently comparing our present day climate crisis to. Never before has temperature increased so dramatically in such a short period of time. This is the super simplified version of course. There are many more people qualified to speak on this topic in depth, but that’s what I’ve extrapolated from the reading I’ve done. first i would like to say that it is very small minded to think we are the only planet with life. That being said i don't think it is a good idea to try and broadcast our whereabouts or make contact with any other planets life. it could be a dangerous endeavor.
