KTM should try testing durability and longevity for once. Address your biggest problem first. Focusing on faster and lighter but everybody knows your bikes are dead in 20k miles. The KTM ship is sinking, address the problem.
Hopefully you fixed the camshaft issues...

Riding 2017 sdr , 7yrs 80000km , no camshaft issues , normal wear tear here & there , but radiator change 5 times , due to wheelies 😅

How many units will u'll make coz KTM never has done much for their RC series no info about 3rd gen rc 390 or 125 and i don't understand why
This looks great and I love that KTM pushes the limits. Each of my bikes really feels like it was made by folks who understand what I want. That said, even if my aging wrists were up to the task of a sportbike, I wouldn't spend much on a bike with a parallel twin, unless this thing has some pretty magic feels. The 890 engine feels functional but a little bit agricultural to me.

I've been wanting to get into track for a long time. I was convinced I'd be buying an R7 at the end of this year until I found out about the RC 990. Can't wait to put an order on one!
Gonna be easily twice as expensive as the R7. Want a supersport that is in the R7 get a Zx4-rr, remapped it’s a bananas bike
There will be a R9 from Yamaha next year. Most likely it will have the MT09 engine.
Do we have the new 2025 rc390 (400) coming this year or in 2025?

How do you fit on your current bike? I'm the same size as you and I stay away from sports bikes. Too cramped. Dirt and adventure bikes are for us bigger dudes 💪

On MTB's you can choose your frame size, for race bikes it would also make sense. ( make them more expensive probably ). But it must be a nightmare to find the middle ground for all these parameters. The prototype looks amazing !

I hope you guys make this in Europe. Nobody is gonna buy your flagship bikes if they're made in India or China. Cheapening the brand isn't a good idea considering the issues you've had already with the camshafts. Keep your bikes made in Europe!
they arent made there, the only bikes made in china are the ones sold in china.
The 990 engine is built in Asia. This is a 990 Duke with fairings.
This is gonna be much more impressive if they involved Dani Pedrosa for the RnD

Hope that their fixed all the cam shafts failure issues thats plagued the models since 2019. I was so close to buying a new KTM 1390, but I did not take much google searches to see so many KTM owners being palmed off related to warranty regarding cam shafts complete failures. Its all over the internet and face book with real documentation.

I have my 2024 Duke r in the workshop being fitted with a Kramer GP2 RR engine, I am too old for Sports bike ergonomics. KtECH TRDS race suspension, Dymag wheels, Brembo race master, Motomaster flame .
Is that even possible, with the exhaust and all? And even more pressing, what will that cost?!
@@mmnl2445 YES, QUITE EASY, A LITTLE BIT OF WIRING LOOM WORK, SWITCH GEAR AND DASH, NO PROBLEM WITH MY EXISTING AKRO EVO. 😂🤣 COST, HMMMN, MY WIFE SOMETIMES USES RUclips........ KRAMER HAVE A NUMBER OF 890 ENGINES (142HP) TO SELL TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE 990 ENGINES, MAKE YOUR OWN ENQUIRIES.

can someone explain to me why 990cc only makes the same power as a 600 r6?
because it only has 2 cylinders
The same reason a 1800cc Goldwing makes the same power as a 600, different engines built for different purposes. They're not built for maximum power, they're built to have a ton of torque, a 600 is the exact opposite because it sacrifices torque for a very high revving, high power engine. For the street an engine like the 990 is gonna be much more enjoyable
emission regulations. Bigger cylinder allows better emissions. That leads to killing of inline fours, replacing them with engines with two and three cylinders. In addition cylinders are upsized. So today 900ccm are yesterdays 600ccm, and 1300ccm are yesterdays 1000ccm.

No you cant. This thing pushes max 130 hp and is a road bike first. Nothing like a R1 at all.

I pray this has or comes with the option of cruise control. Lack of CC is a deal breaker for me on a sport bike as I ride it 99% on the street.
